I managed to revive the laptop, still looking for a dual ida bios for 2730p that wouldnt kill the machine
Does non-IDA version work? The sp50059 with disabled whitelist one? It's made by TTAV134 and confirmed working. Or no way to install?
The version of the bios is now F20 after the recovery of the machine. Now, it doesnt let me flash the 50059 no whitelist bios.
What does the program says? "Cannot downgrade"? It is known that only from F.20 and further HP implemented flash protection. sp50059 is F.0E version and the one that killed the machine is F.10. Then, they protected 2730p earlier? Although, contents of SecureUpdating module do not confirm this. Don't know why F.10 mod is faulty.
I dont know the reason bro but the dual ida f10 mod killed the machine. I should have extracted the cabs from an earlier version but i only had f20 version to recover the device. So i used the recovery procedure with that. I am glad it is working now. This was a fun project to assemble a perfect 2730p from 3 pieces of beaten 2730p. I have another mainboard that is not updated to f20 and i can put that mobo into the chassis of the perfect one but not sure if it would be worth the hassle.
From this point there is nothing I can do. HP noticed the community know how to disable whitelist and improved protection. And left no option to downgrade.
@fourbits, did the mod work? Also, which CPU your NC4200 has? I've finished remaking the missing files and now think to remake all saved ones. But not sure if there's any sense of doing this for i915 chipset devices. If the CPU is Pentium, could you attach CPU-Z reports with and without bios mod? Spoiler: Tools - Save report as txt
Is there a guide on how to flash it tho? I tried flashing it but it said it can't downgrade the BIOS version, I was already on F.20, i think i understand that i have to downgrade the BIOS first but how am i able to do that?
So, the DOS FLASH TOOLKIT Wouldn't work? Is the BIOS Corrupted, can i restart it? Edit: I restarted, it booted, it's working perfectly fine. However i wish there would be a way to downgrade the BIOS tho
