Dear moderator branches beg you not to "kick" my inattention and my English!
Looked at your links to resolve the issue with the activation SLIC2.1 on HP and found nothing. ((
In the HP 4535s, depending on the contents may have to melt Windows 7.
But those who are saved, and it was most SUSE Linux but of course people put themselves seven and activate it in different ways.
I decided to activate the marker SLIC 2.1 in the laptop, the good do not have to sew it already in BIOS from the factory is.
But in general that and plugging.
Having read disk imaging begins with ru.board, mydigitallife and decided to make a bootable flash drive and try to activate the marker, but unfortunately to no avail. Hpbi103 utility and its more recent versions Bullets team "hpbi103 write slp on" is not a ride (of course command changes depending on the version), gives a message of some sort of incompatibility, but on the basis of labeling motherboard "PIXIES-6050A2426501-MB -A03" of its base "InventeŅ" and utility hpbi ... should work.
HP_DMI_Tools program in boot mode to UEFI in Bootx64.efi an error faila menu "ME-error".
Maybe someone managed to beat your prompt manipulation, many on this post Please help SLIC2.1 enable and disable whitelist!!!
    Thanks in advance!

    Hey,
I just came into ownership of a Compaq nc6400 laptop, I tried the link you have posted here but, the link for the nc6400 with Intel isn't working. The ati one does, but I need the Intel.
I tried to mod the BIOS myself, but all three tools don't recognize it.
    Thanks in advance.

@TTAV134; I'am stuck here with almost the same situation. I own a HP Compaq 6710b notebook wich was flashed with the F.20 BIOS- version, no downgrade possible and the notebook won't let me change the BIOS in such a way that the original SLIC v2.0 table could be replaced with the SLIC v2.1 table.
Ok, today i've disassembled the notebook and soldered off the BIOS chip, in my case a 8Mbit SPI Serial Flash (SST25VF080B).
I've found out that there are also 6710b models around wich contain a 8Mbit Serial Flash chip from Atmel (AT26DF081A).
Now i've ordered off eBay a SPI programmer wich should handle both types, thus this shouldn't be a problem, reading and dumping the whole contents should -i think- be a straight foreward process.

However, and here it comes, how and where do i insert the SLIC v2.1 table or tables, i seriously and don't have a clue on where to begin... :hmm:
Is it possible to help me with this when i got my SPI programmer in here?
Thank you in advance and for your guidance so far.

Hello everyone, I just joined and I thank all of you for any help you can give me.

I have the exact same problem indicated by qw0000 (except for the fact that my notebook does not start even with the battery removed).

Even my Notebook is HP Compaq NX7400 on which I installed the bios (version F.0E 27-aug-2008) whitelist removed and after the upgrade I no longer receiving the 104 error on boot.

With Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, WLan card Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN and the Intel drivers v13.4.0.139, everything works fine, with a very good connection speed of 130 MB/s (with only two antennas connected to outputs 1 and 2 and leaving output 3 not connected).

Unfortunately, the Intel 4965 does not support Windows7 hostednetwork and does not work even with VirtualRouter.

Then I tried to replace it with the Intel Wifi Link 5100AGN but with this one the notebook does not start, connecting the external power supply (but also with the battery only), the fan runs at 100%, the power LED alternately flashes amber and green and the screen remains black. Don't boot.

Please TTAV134 have you any suggestions for me?
    Thanks

    UPDATE

After the failure with the Intel 5100 I tried with the Intel 5300. Even with this the notebook is turned on only knows and does not boot inserting the battery, but fortunately connecting the external power supply BEFORE you insert the battery, everything works fine and the wlan card is regularly seen by Windows. Connection speeds around 130 MB/s (with a Belkin N+ router).
Now I can use Virtual Router (or enable hostednetwork) to share the 3G connection with my devices with WiFi connection only.
The only drawback is that when you are not available to an external power supply is not possible to remove the battery.

Waiting for someone to find a solution to this thanks to the author of this blog for the information shared.

    goodbye

After a failed BIOS update, the best solution is to buy or replace a same model chip. If you can not achieve, you need to consider the following two methods.
Application Award BIOS motherboard has a BIOS boot block update the BIOS, this part of the boot block can not be overwritten (Boot Block Write jumper is set to Disable, select Update BIOS Including Boot Block way and not run the update), Good luck.....

Hi there, I have a Compaq 6910p T8300 2.4ghz, BIOS 68MCD ver F.19, XP SP3 laptop and it DOES NOT show up the firewire IEEEE1394 port in: Computer Management-Device Manager (and of course does not recognize any firewire device) I have other 6910p T7500 2.2ghz, BIOS 68 MCD ver F.13 XP SP3 and it recognize the firewire port and works no problem

I have been looking around and it seems a solution it is to downgrade the BIOS version because a conflict could be taking place, I have been told it could be a risky process and I do not know hot to do such thing, any sugg ?

    Best Regards

Wondering if anyone can answer this, "Does all DV5-1000 series laptops use the same bios?" I requested a bios mod for DV5-1015nr and was pointed to a DV5-1000 Entertainment notebook series bios mod file. The original poster was asking for dv5-1160ew and was pointed to this same file.

I am just a little confused and do not want to flash the wrong Rom. I have searched long and hard and cannot find a file for my specific model number but have seen a number of posts all pointing to this same rom file and all for different models within this family.
So can anyone explain this to me, sorry if it a noob question.......

    Hi afafonin,

The BIOS for the NC4400 (sendspace _ file _ pd7hzb) doesn't seem to be "white list removed" as after updating the BIOS my computer still doesn't accept a (Intel WIFI Link 5100 model: 512AN_ MMW) card.

Please advise me if I am doing something wrong...

    Thanks.
