Hi all, I have several HP DC7700 SFF PC's I would like to mod to SLIC 2.1. I believe at this point in time no one has figured how to modify these bios'... what I'm wondering is, can I download the bios, open it in a hex editor, identify where the SLIC 1.0 information starts, take the SLIC 2.1 information from another HP Bios & paste it over the top of the SLIC 1.0 & then program the bios externally in an eprom reader/writer to get around any checksum issues. Any advice would be greatly appreciated - Thanks
Using this tool to update some missing info for my HDX9200 laptop built by Inventec. I have one problem though with using command write model. When I put HPBI103 write model HP Pavilion HDX9200 Notebook PC Utility only write the last word PC into EEPROM. It is something to do with space symbols I'm using. Has anyone faced the same problem? Question is how to overcome it? P.S. Solved myself. Need to use HPBI103 write model "HP Pavilion HDX9200 Notebook PC"
