    Hi guys,

I am trying to install the following update on the server 2019/2022: "2024-01 Security Update for Microsoft server operating system version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034439)." However, the update keeps encountering errors with the following message:

"There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80070643)"

Can someone please advise me on how to resolve this issue?

Hmmm... getting 0x80070643 for just about any update now. Same OS as posted above but 2022 in my case: . 21H2.

I would like to get it sorted, since it seems it is effectively preventing any updates to install.

So I tried doing the diskpart thing but I am not succeeding in labeling assigning the right options for the partitions. Already wrecked and restored this server once, so most appreciative for some input.

This is what it looks like in Disk Management, I have created an additional partition and trying to merge those 2 and 3 but not succeeding in doing it right.

    Code:
Volume ### Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status Info
      ---------- --- ----------- ----- ---------- ------- --------- --------
Volume 0 System Rese NTFS Partition 549 MB Healthy System
Volume 1 C NTFS Partition 230 GB Healthy Boot
Volume 2 Windows RE NTFS Partition 250 MB Healthy
Volume 3 NTFS Partition 563 MB Healthy Hidden
I could, and have, fire up gparted, but the details and flags and such are not the same as for Windows.

It's a useless update for the useless recovery partition.

Just delete it and "recover" the wasted space
