Since this is tips for faster bootup and performance, and SSDs are supposed to be better; let me tell you that in India (Delhi), SSDs are available at only 1 in 100 shops or more; and for a 40-60GB SSD, one could buy a core i7 processor+perhaps a motherboard. I tried to buy one but got scared by the price.

I can't disable encryption in NTFS system files and disable compression in NTFS system files, i'm running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.
but i notice that it's way faster to kill processes to shutdown the machine when i set the waiting time to minimum, but i don't know if i boot faster as my machine is booting fine. the SSD OCZ vertex 2 should be a very good last upgrade for my laptop, the machine should performe so fast with this SSD. the 120GB price is 320 euro.
Thank you so much Matrix Leader! It works so well. I even notice my computer being quite a bit faster after using that tweaker. One question though, do you know if DK 2010 will give you the same results as PerfectDisk? I am not sure which one to use lol. They are both good in my opinion.
Try Perfect Disk Pro 11 from their website. If you wish I can PM you the serials so you do not have to search for them. O&O is also good and I have both on my PC since yesterday. Regarding the tweaks, the program is good, only each subset requires a restart. I took perhaps 60-70% of Matrix.. screenshot advice but did not some based on my own preferences (mostly related to what I like on my PC). Even with his sound advice, shaved 3-4 secs to 65. That is because my PC was always pretty clean. He must be running his PC on steroids.
lol, nah, I got both the perfect disk 11 pro download and the serials already lol. I was just wondering what ppl's intake was on Diskeeper 2010l. Normally I use DK 2010 Enterprise Server.
