Their is a way to get Windows 8 Pro back without Media Center. This fools Windows into thinking that the Windows 8 DVD is an upgrade to the current version. Here's how to do it: 1. Open the Run Menu (Windows Key + R) 2. Type regedit (Opens Registry Editor) 3. Navigate to HKEY_Local_Machine (In left pane). 4. Open the folder and navigate to Software. 5. Go to Microsoft. 6. Then go to Windows NT. 7. Open Current Version. 8. In the right pane you should see EditionID. 7. Double Click That and type "Professional" (Without quotations). 8.Insert Your Windows 8 Pro DVD or Flash Drive in PC and Upgrade It. I am being very specific with it due to if you make one wrong move in the registry, you could corrupt your Windows Installation. I have made a file already configured to do the steps above. If you don't believe that's what it is, right click it and hit edit and read the code. It should say this: Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion] "EditionID"="Professional" It works! I tested it. Its the same method that was used to upgrade Windows 7 Enterprise to Windows 7 Ultimate. I just tried it out on Windows 8. Attachment is below to do the steps above for you.
