Should I use powershell in this script to add more features? Vista will no longer be supported.

    Use Volume Activators, (Kms_vl_all) For Example, Can Activate Professional & Enterprise Volume Copies Of Windows 7

    From a test I once did, W7 will not boot from a vhdx (0xc03a0001 ERROR_VHD_DRIVE_FOOTER_MISSING)

    I'm pretty sure I have done it. Didn't keep it, but will try again sometime today. Possibly only works with ultimate or enterprise. :confused:

    Edit - It worked. Created vhd file and necessary partitions using diskpart, apply Win 7 Enterprise image with dism, and copy the boot files to system partition. Then used EasyBCD to add vhd file boot entry to my main Win11 os. Win 7 boots okay from vhd. (but with a bunch of missing drivers:()

    You said VHD or VHDx in your previous post. VHD will boot fine. My testing indicated Win7 applied to a VHDx will BSOD and not boot. Windows 7 does not support booting from VHDX; only VHD is supported. VHDX is supported on Windows 8 and later.

    You are indeed correct. Can't boot Win 7 from vhdx. My bad.

    To be precise, Windows 7 Enterprise does support OEM:SLP activation (refer to the relevant pkeyconfig), but we didn't come across any such key in real life since the SKU wasn't meant for OEM distribution.

    Moreover, due to the fact that there is no public documentation about NT 6.1 product key generation, we never stumbled upon homebrew keys as well.

    it is how i activated the 'preview', so 'yes' would be the answer

    EzWindSlic is based on the original WindSlic, and is nothing more than a installer/gui wrapper... binary is still the same

    I have no current interest in server 2025, but that latest fork seems to have failed for @RobrPatty. Possibly needs more testing on real hardware, not just virtual machines.

    For specific hardware

    are erase motherboards slic or use kms38 or hwid ( windows 10/11 consumer )

    @RobrPatty disable secure boot and retry ezwindslic fork

    Secure boot is disabled & previous SLIC is removed. I get same screen as yours...says licensed with Dell SLIC but after reboot notification mode.
    I also hacked or forked ezwindslic at one point & same deal. We need a complete overhaul of ezwindslic. pm67310 your forked version does not work for me on my live machine.

    @RobrPatty - Just curious, did you try using diskpart to assign a drive letter to the efi partition, and check if windslic is even there?
