Hi, please excuse me if the answer to my question is obvious. I had a read through this thread and couldn't quite figure it out. I was looking to download Win 10 LTSB 2016 for a fresh reinstall on my laptop and came across this thread. Does this tool create different versions of Windows 10 by patching together one stock OS with some patches? Is that what is meant by SVF patches?
I have already made the x86 patches 17134.112 Consumer EN > 17134.112 Consumer XX but @s1ave77 his tool will first have to download the 17134.1 EVAL source ISO and the 17134.1 en-US sfv patch to create the 17134.1 consumer en-US source iso for finally creating the 17134.112 consumer iso. Or i will have to create 17134.1 consumer/business EVAL > 17134.112 consumer/business XX, but it will be a 600+ MB svf. I don't know if spending so much time and effort in an already superseded and obsolete iso is useful.
W10UI updates winre.wim, or extract the 17134.1 winre.wim using 7zip and update it manually, it's just 6 dism commands: /mount /addpackage ssu /addpackage cu /resetbase /unmount commit. export to new winre.wim.
What's the difference between SVF and ESD? As far as I can tell ESD have Enterprise versions and SVF only consist of current consumer HOME/PRO editions?
15063 or was it 16299.15 and up are released as AIO, there is no Home/Pro only ISO/ESD anymore.. UUP files are Home/Pro (+N). The on MDL published SVF patches (and used by this tool) are made of official MSFT/MVS released ISO's (checksums can be verified, ESD>ISO conversions all have different checksums).
Thanks! So Home/Pro-only installs are released as AIO and everything else (client-business) are released as ESD?
All are released as AIO ESD and as AIO ISO (16299.15 and up). For information on the builds check the specific build threads, all info is at the OP.
Hi guys! Just for understand what @xinso do in this post. With this tool, he basically got the RS5 release got the RS1 LTSB certificates and "extract" an updated RS5 LTSB?
He created some homebrew, could hardly be a RS5 build, it still is insider preview. what does that have to do with our official MSFT ISO download tool?
Sorry, i'm not intended to do an off topic, i think he do with this tool. Thank you for the response!
