Seems to work with Dell m1730 bios file (does not error out, it detects new M09 marker after modification), however im not sure if im brave enough to (re)flash it (i have moded bios with slic 2.1 already), since its not my laptop and sweating once was enough... :) hm... thanks for the tool tho!

If you already have one then stick with it! The Dell bit has been well tested though. The tool has been in existance for months, and has gone through 60 revisions!

    Andyp,

Just to thank you for the effort and increase your rep, because it is shamefully low for the contributor like you.

    Again, thank you.

Thank you Andyp ! The question of the ThinkPad BIOS, which has .FL1 and .FL2 file or first to do with the compression tool e_bcpvpw.exe to get the file Bios.rom 8M and it then download the tool to produce 2.1 or SLIC is not necessary. Thank you!

Put up a link to download your bios in your post along with the rw report, what you've done is correct however it may need some tweaks.

This may happen at various points. It is not a bug, per se, but a limitation of the SSV2 method, in that the module must compress to the same size. Often it can be fixed by using a different SLIC.

This does need a tutorial and I will try to work on one over the weekend.

In the meantime ask here (as you did!), and we will do our best to help.

Andy is correct, I tried your bios with Dell and it worked fine, tried with Lenovo and it failed.

Thank Andyp, I personally enjoyed this tool, but now we do not make a Slic 2.1. I will ask you for help, what is wrong can not be completed until the end of the SLIC, but get an error.
