    Hi, andyp

I was using downloaded bios from asus website.
The mobo I just installed has bios 0301.
I will now try to update bios from Serg008.

    I won't mod HP Insyde bios(UEFI).

    But... it has [RSA.SIG]file.

    I tryed "hewprsa -e 01818.bin.DEC -o 01818.bin -k ???

But, I ??? address do not understand.

    Which address should be specified?
    Please let me know.

Hello, thanks for this nice tool. However I have some remarks:
    - Although I successfully flashed the modified BIOS, I found the program hard to use, and it isn't until I read - /threads/35272-HP-Insyde-BIOS-recovery-steps - (sorry for the half-link, I can't post full links yet) that I managed to have a BIOS that HP_TOOLS accepted as valid.
    - My problems were:
-- the created <BIOS>_SLIC.bin file isn't recognised and authorised by HP_TOOLS or InsydeFlash (although I renamed it to match the original name)
-- HP_TOOLS ask for a signature file, but the .SIG file disappears when the tool is closed, and it doesn't correspond to the <BIOS>_SLIC.bin file.
    - That's all !

    Hi andyp and all,

I want to be able to mod my bios (Asus P8H77-V) myself. So I read all posts in this thread (twice the posts of this year).

I see that there is a "security verification failed" problem with moding and flashing the latest Asus bioses. There are lots of posts going back and forth about this issue. Different people report success using different methods. After reading all these I honestly still don't know the best (simple, reliable, repeatedly confirmed to be working etc.) way to handle this problem.

    So my questions are:

    1) Is this "security verification failed" problem solved in latest version (2.10) of the PhonixTool? I mean, does the tool handle it all by itself?

    2) Do I have to change the advanced options or keep the default configuration?

    3) Do I have to do some relatively advanced stuff like hex editing or inserting modules?

In short, can you briefly explain how to mod an Asus bios (only SLIC needed) using the PhonixTool so that this "security verification failed" problem is not experienced?

PS1: I'm not interested in permanent modding.
PS2: Please, don't point me the available modded bioses. I searched and found them already. I want to do this myself. I hope you understand...

    Thanks a lot,

    Hi andyp and all,

My motherboard is ASUS P8Z77-M PRO,BIOS version is 1504.
I try to reintegrate the patched dsdt.aml into BIOS file with phoenixtool(v2.10):
    Advanced-->DSDT Options-->Allow user to modify dsdt(checked)
but phoenixtool did not pause or prompt,it just went through and done.
