Anyway i respect your work and ability i attached error picture. View attachment 22948
It says checksums ok, the tool would detect if they weren't Could you upload a copy of the modified module It maybe that there are other checks that the tool is not aware of Does the unmodified BIOS flash ok with the same flashtool?? A
thank you for reply when i updated bios with unmodified bios is no checksum error i want to attach some files but upload limited too small would you mind if i ask your email address ?
Hi Andy Thanks for a great tool and I hope you'll excuse me if I run a problem I've been having past you? I've been trying to create a SLIC2.1 BIOS mod for a Dell Latitude D505 laptop (original post here) but, despite having an RW report, the tool fails, with the error message "cannot replace mcfg location in rsdt as no rw report". I just wondered whether or not I'm doing something wrong, and whether this is relatively simple to fix? I know people have modded Latitude D505 BIOSes successfully before, but any download links have long since expired ... Any assistance gratefully received
flashtool means safuwins.exe file? i already uploaded file. it is inlcuded original.zip ^^ Have a good day.
Hi Thanks. I didn't mean you had reported the wrong error message - the error message itself is wrong! Hmmm... you have so few ACPI tables. Have you turned anything off in BIOS?? Had a look, I'm not sure how to make this work. There isn't any space in the actual ROM for another table and I don't think we can replace BOOT (and certainly cant FACP). A
Thanks Andy. I switched everything I'd disabled back on in BIOS and it made no difference to the ACPI tables. I have a few other Latitude D505s so will check the ACPI tables on those and report back
