I'm doing good my bike isn't but its enough to get me a 780ti kingpin and haswell asus deluxe +4970k. I have been playing with this bios and i noticed the asus slic doesn't like the gigabyte bios. I think its a space thing however due to the fact that it seems like it offsets the guid. let me get the tools again to replicate the error. The dell slic went in easily suggesting that asus slic is customized to a specific bios type and considering that they make motherboards that's understandable. I am going to test all the slic's if i can find the downloads for them all again. One question i have is once i install a slic in a bios can it later be replaced with another bios with a different slic? Also for that note do the slic 2.3 dell have slic 2.1 included or do you have to have the specific model for the os you install?

    MB: Gigabyte H81M-DS2 rev.2.0
    tool: phoenixtool257

    My case:
    slictoolkit v3.2 report:
    X&RSDT != :mad:
    XSDT: ALASKAA M I
    RSDT: ALASKAA M I
So they obviously equal, but not for slic status.
    SLIC Status: Invalidated
So I tried hard to put there the "_ASUS_Notebook", but in vain.
I've tried to change rw file in half pro hand mode.
I’ve tried advanced options. BTW there is an option to change “ALASKA[space]A M I”, but there is no [space] in my case!

P.S. On my successful one PC (with slic status validated) I have: X&RSDT: _ASUS_Notebook

    - Don't alter any ACPI tables or OEM/Table ID strings if slic IDs match

    P.S. My case closed.

    Re flashing DELL Vostro 3460

    Hi avery body.
I'm putting this request because I didn't receive any answer in MOD section of MDL. Perhaps I posted in a wrong section.
Please I need some help to replace same firmware of Dell Vostro 3460 (Phoenix Firmware).

Actually this notebook has FW version 3460_A13.
I'm absolutely novice in this arena of BIOS manipulation, so I don't know how to begin a procedure for re flashing.

    Manufacturer: DELL
    BIOS model: Phoenix
    BIOS type: UEFI
    System Model: Vostro 3460
    Board: Dell 0J1V31 A00
    Board S/N: CN486433110212
    UEFI: Dell A13 10/18/2012

Thanks very much for any advice.
