@JohnBad The 2nd gen RSA signed HP bioses aren't decryptable yet by this tool. A fix is cooking. What do you want to achieve??
He, he, I want to reflash bios on a dead motherboard (using the programmer, of course) and this phoenix tool helps me a lot when I can't find a dumped bios binary file from a working mobo... Thanks for fast reply. I will wait then...
Actually you can simply run the bios update exe on another PC & it'll prompt you to create a recovery USB by which you can revive the laptop.
Wow, thanks man! I didn't thought on that. There is another option to copy the files on other location without using usb recovery drive. Now, this files seems to be right what I need.
Thank You BDMaster, Appreciate Your help! I got it in between ... As this one is my first and it take longer - more questions than answers... Now I'm on unlock issue studying, then I'll deal with SLICs. About the SLIC - there still are "underwater stones" which I should find and understand... (relations - where, how). Regards
Thanks again BDMaster, It's OK with the SLICs - same I've get from the Phoenixtool. But... Strange - it gives me always V5WE2X64.f? as an BIOS file name when working with isflash.bin. When searching for: 1A1E2341-A2FB-42C7-8D17-3073D08EB21D_1718.ROM is an empty module of 156 bytes RSA Key 2.1 EMPTY DD6569A7-E455-4EE5-B2BA-ECDA84ACBC99_1724.ROM is an empty module of 182 bytes MARKER 2.1 EMPTY it points to the followed ROMs respectively: 4CAC73B1-7C53-4DC1-B6FA-42A15260409A_2444.ROM - 156 bytes RSA 2.1 key F306F460-2DC9-4B5D-9410-83585F1ADD80_2450.ROM - 182 bytes MARKER 2.1 I've checked the 4CAC73B1-7C53-4DC1-B6FA-42A15260409A_2444.ROM in DUMP dir and it's the same as the 2.1 RSA key part in the ACER's SLIC21 bin (exactly!?). The same is for the MARKER - F306F460-2DC9-4B5D-9410-83585F1ADD80_2450.ROM - the second part of the ACER's SLIC21.bin also exactly. Seems they exists in the bios?! Actually its like some kind of mess with the info from the Phoenixtool or I couldn't understand something right. The SLIC21 file exist and it is empty - it should be 7E374E25-8E01-4FEE-87F2-390C23C606CD_1317.ROM (374 bytes). If I replace it with ACER's SLIC bin - renamed accordingly, most probably it will work, isn't it? Sorry for my annoying questionary.
