Actually you can simply run the bios update exe on another PC & it'll prompt you to create a recovery USB by which you can revive the laptop.

Wow, thanks man! I didn't thought on that. There is another option to copy the files on other location without using usb recovery drive. :worthy:
Now, this files seems to be right what I need.

Any chance we can get a link to the new 2.59 phoenixtool or is it not yet ready?

    Thanks

    Thank You BDMaster,

    Appreciate Your help!

    I got it in between ... :)
As this one is my first and it take longer - more questions than answers...

Now I'm on unlock issue studying, then I'll deal with SLICs.
About the SLIC - there still are "underwater stones" which I should find and understand... (relations - where, how).

    Regards

    Thanks again BDMaster,

It's OK with the SLICs - same I've get from the Phoenixtool. But...

Strange - it gives me always V5WE2X64.f? as an BIOS file name when working with isflash.bin.

    When searching for:

1A1E2341-A2FB-42C7-8D17-3073D08EB21D_1718.ROM is an empty module of 156 bytes RSA Key 2.1 EMPTY
DD6569A7-E455-4EE5-B2BA-ECDA84ACBC99_1724.ROM is an empty module of 182 bytes MARKER 2.1 EMPTY

it points to the followed ROMs respectively:

    4CAC73B1-7C53-4DC1-B6FA-42A15260409A_2444.ROM - 156 bytes RSA 2.1 key
    F306F460-2DC9-4B5D-9410-83585F1ADD80_2450.ROM - 182 bytes MARKER 2.1

I've checked the 4CAC73B1-7C53-4DC1-B6FA-42A15260409A_2444.ROM in DUMP dir and it's the same as the 2.1 RSA key part in the ACER's SLIC21 bin (exactly!?). The same is for the MARKER - F306F460-2DC9-4B5D-9410-83585F1ADD80_2450.ROM - the second part of the ACER's SLIC21.bin also exactly. Seems they exists in the bios?!

Actually its like some kind of mess with the info from the Phoenixtool or I couldn't understand something right.
The SLIC21 file exist and it is empty - it should be 7E374E25-8E01-4FEE-87F2-390C23C606CD_1317.ROM (374 bytes). If I replace it with ACER's SLIC bin - renamed accordingly, most probably it will work, isn't it?

    Sorry for my annoying questionary.

    Again thanks BDMaster,

    Don't be so modest.
"Judge by their deeds" - was said in one wise book... (Sorry for my lyrical deviation.)

I've made all changes as above - SLIC -> SLAC in ACPI module and empty SLIC replaced with ACER's one.
In Advanced I've switched on all modification control options and No SLIC - to avoid asking for a SLIC module (assumed I'll change ACPI and SLIC directly) as in the Donovan6k Tutorials.

BIOS was build successfully but when I tried to flash it Phlash16 (/C /V /S /X) returns an error - "Platform Signature Not found in the Interface" and refuse to write. Should I use also the /force switch to avoid this error message?

It's from my age, BDMaster...

I've guessed so. The Recovery Mode tried twice - no result. I assume It do something, restart the laptop and change some BIOS settings (e.g. F12 to Disable) - that's all.

Let see how it will go further :)worthy:)

    Step-by-step follows: ;)

    1. 64_bios-region_9.5.14.1724.bin - 40194304 bytes - extracted from report
    2. Renamed to bios.bin
    3. PMTool 2.58 MOD (Advanced - checked all modifications asking and allowing, and no SLIC too - modified by hand)
    4. Build bios_SLIC.bin renamed to bios.bin and
    5. Moved to \modified folder of MOD Flash FPT 9.5.14.1724
    6. Folder \modified - copied to FAT32 DOS bootable 2GB USB flash stick
    7. Boot from the USB, ...\modified\Flash.bat
    8. ERROR with it's internal first step but the second one worked perfectly! Success.
    9. Restart
    10. Win7 - FYB ;)
All other steps till the rest - BEER!!! (sex & R'n'R)!

P.S. Do not hope, BDMaster, be sure! It worked!!!
    Thank You!

P.P.S. Hope as the path is now clear, the other mods should go the same way.

P.P.P.S. Seems very easy when You know what to do...

Many Thanks to You and to ALL other Gurus and guys sharing knowledge!

Hi AndyP, is 2.59 available to try?
I'm having some issues with 2.58 where if I replace 3 roms I'm getting an "Error 5" message:
    View attachment 32321
These are just jpg's which are smaller than the originals.
This has worked for me in the past...

Hi. I have a lenovo m55 9632 with phoenix bios without slic.
I tried to MOD the bios and insert the slic 2.1, with the 2.58 phoenix tool without any problems but after I flash the bios the software SLIC TOOL 3.2 tells me that the pubkey doesn't match and then I can't activate Windows 7.
    Thanks for any help
