Which version? Mine is only showing Bios Features. (4.53) and version 4.55 and 5 are crashing (I'm using W10/W7 x64).
AFAIK, it is used to enable the SLIC controller which is by default hidden by MSI. @Serg008 and others have found a way to manually dumping the NVRAM variables, modify it and flash it back so that a full mod isn't necessary if you fill up the marker in romholes.
OK, I'm at a loss here...I used the tool to insert SLIC 2.1 into an Optiplex 755 A22 BIOS. I followed the README, and I don't know where to go from here. The tool didn't create an executable, but there are bios.gz, 02_3.ROM, 02_3_SLIC.ROM, O755-A22.hdr, and O755-A22_SLIC.hdr files. The tool says a O755-A22_SLIC.exe is there, but it's not in the file window, only the original EXE. I tried O755-A22.EXE -readgzfile bios.gz from the CLI, but I got an "Invalid Command Line" window. So, where do I go from here? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi all, I'm new to the forum. I have one question. I have a Toshiba Satellite L675-119. I've downloaded the BIOS from Toshiba website. Extracted files are: bios.ROM BiosCheck.ini ec.rom Setup.exe When I load the bios.ROM file on Andy's Tool I receive the following message: After extracting I get the following information: I don't know what to name the .ROM file. Where can I find that bit of information? Thanks in advance
hmm, may i ask how to find out recovery filename here? like, im trying to help a friend with his computer, and its a acer predator g3620, i find the filename "rcvboot.cap" but on other files, i cannot find it
the file i used is called P11-B1.CAP, and recently i flashed the bios with a file from "intel iamt" folder, which made acer logo disappear, and also it said "intel" instead, it looked alot different too, like alot of options and so on. so, i tried to change back to the old bios, but it didnt work..
Thanks andyp for your work! Modded successfully with Asus B150m-k d3, Bios 2202 PhoenixTool 2.73 and new module method Regards
