    Run the exe file from another computer, copy and paste the rom file from the temp directory, then cancel the process

    Some feedback

    First of all, great big thanx to Andy for this tool.

    Just wanted to say that I was successful with Latitude D600, D610, Optiplex GX280, and GX620 SLIC insertions with the latest tool (in case this wasn't reported yet).

    Successful OS install on a D600.

    Inspiron 8600 - "Static F000 module wrong size"

    You're the man :worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy:

    It fixed the problem and RW now detects SLIC 2.1

    Many Thanks:)

    Thanks andy, I was finally able to mod the "unmoddable" Aptio Bios on my Vaio VGN-NS20J and I summoned up the courage to flash it. It worked fine except I must have installed a 2.0 slic instead of a 2.1, anyway, I remodded and reflashed with 2.1 and installed Win 7 64 bit, it asked for a key so I inserted a Sony one I found in the forum and it was invalid, eventually I found out the certificate wasn't installed, so I inserted it via the command line and now it's activated without a key, is that right?

    Anyway, if anyone would like the mod, I can up load it, if you tell me where and should the certificate go in the Bios or the OS?

    Thanks all

    Troels, I did go to that post thanks to you also, I still don't understand the key certificate thing though.

    Also, if I decide to install Vista which was preloaded, will I have a problem or will I have to flash the original Bios?

    Thanks

    No, your flashed is good with Vista as well, your SLIC 2.1 is backward compatible. If I remember correctly, the certificate is the same, only the key should be changed. But Vista was some time ago.
