-Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : ASUS P8P67 -Bios Revision : 0804 -Bios Type : EFI AMI BIOS -Bios SLIC: ASUS -Bios Link : dl.dropbox.com/u/4928793/P8P67-ASUS-0804.zip -Rw-everything ACPI report: dl.dropbox.com/u/4928793/AcpiTbls.rw I try dynamic mode. When creating BIOS away message "No complete SLIC table found. Continue?". But the bios set up. Module work too.
At my WeTab (see a few messages back), dynamic didn't work. It has added the new SLIC but it doesn't show somehow in Windows. SSV2 fails, module worked (added a second SLIC as far as the tool told me) Worked at an older BIOS and activated, so tried a newer bios. Didn't start properly after that, and i have an all black screen at boot. There should be a recovery mode or something, but no one seems to know how that works on Ami Aptio EFI boards.. After i bootup it appears to look for something on the flashdrive, but none of the AMIBOOT.ROM variants do anything. Even with autoexec, etc. So, i would advice you to wait until there is a solution for Ami Aptio bioses..
Hi, I tried it for the Asus P8P67 Pro but I can't continue because my motherboard lays there with no cpu. So I can't make a rweverything file. But here is how it looks till I need the file: View attachment 7985 View attachment 7986
There is a parsing bug for this BIOS. Fixed but will have to wait until can get somewhere with broadband to upload new version. Hopefully tomorrow night Andy
dell vostro 3xxx - how to force bios downgrade all googling about bios mods leads to MDL... dear andyP & al - my dilemma may be simpler than most - currently i just need to force a downgrade of bios on my new laptop to disable the hybrid video that prevents the lap from working with winxp, osx & linux - 70% of OS by usage statistics. but the dell bios .EXEs don't allow downgrade. the bios is efi/insyde as reported by phoenixtool. tried phlash16 - ng - i guess it doesn't like insyde. tried DCCU - it says that the .EXE is not right & doesn't create a new package. what next? cheers in advance.
Andy, I just tried to slic bios, provided by ELVEON and got some run time error (it was on my native russian language and I provide my translation): "Error 5: Offset and length are out of array bounds or counter value exceed element count from pointer to end of source collection". Program log shows nothing bad, it last lines are: Finished Tiano module compression method used SLIC module size is 374 bytes The SLIC checksum has been corrected to 0 OEM Activation 2.1 SLIC Parsing RW Everything report for OEM/Table IDs RSDT OEM/Table ID is ALASKAA M I FACP OEM/Table ID is ALASKAA M I APIC OEM/Table ID is ALASKAA M I SSDT OEM/Table ID is AMICPUPROC MCFG OEM/Table ID is ALASKAA M I HPET OEM/Table ID is ALASKAA M I DSDT OEM/Table ID is ALASKAA M I OEM/Table IDs identified are: 1. Andy! Your new tool 1.68 is almost flawless. However, in 9F3A0016-AE55-4288-829D-D22FD344C347_1_34.ROM vestige remained ALASKAA M I. You can fix this? View attachment 8013
