I'm completely unsure why you're getting a brick on your p8p67 with ssv2, I've done 4 different boards, each a different model ASUS using 1.72 and they worked fine with ssv2, I did have the very first board I modded with 1.72 brick but all others worked so I suspected it was bad ram corrupting the bios flash. Have you tested your ram with memtest86+ or even the windows memory diagnostics to see its ok? If it's not it's most likely the cause.

in #1357, ArtVandelae has reported success with 173b4 dynamic mode and flashed in DOS with BUPDATER.

    Any idea.

Hi phrunt - it is weird then - confident there are no issues with my RAM as why would it only be flashing the SSV2 BIOS that caused the problem (pukka ASUS flash works, Dynamic mod flash works, SSV2 doesn't) .....

The really good new is that I just retried v1.73b4 with Dynamic (after hot flashing the BIOS back to life again) and it worked.... Windows activated..... YAY !

Maybe its something with 1.73b4? I didn't try v1.72 as there wasn't a working download link - I am up for trying 1.72 SSV2 if you can post a link please?

Thanks to everyone for their help... not been on the bleeding edge for a few years (and certainly never bricked a bios before), so it's been fun!

    I am so confused :S

Thanks russss, interesting dynamic works. qtm has pm'd me saying someone used a dynamic 1.73v4 mod on 1503 bios and it flashed but didn't produce a SLIC.
I will look at the ssv2 mod to see if I can see anything obvious.

Can i ask specifically what version of bupdater you have used, and phrunt which u have used??

EDIT: Can you confirm that you selected manufacturer as ASUS??
EDIT: Can you tell me if you used a RW report for dynamic and ssv2??

EDIT: I have looked as SSV2 mod and i can't see anything wrong.

Andy, I can't remember and i'm not at work, however the zip I sent you with all 3 working mods had the bupdater included in it that I used so if you still have that? otherwise I will find out Tuesday.
