Just tried that and it gave me the following error:

    Invalid command line
Please verify the program was executed properly.

That's just with the original T7500A09.exe and your bios.gz in a directory, invoked from an administrator command prompt with the command as you typed it above.
I also tried a few variations with no difference in result, and followed that by feeding it a random rubbish switch value which gave an identical error. Has Dell removed -readgzfile from these new packages I wonder?

Thank you very much for your time thus far btw, it is appreciated.

    Hi
I was wanting to have a try at running the bios mod on a old packard bell desktop I have but I seem unable to find any newbie instructions and Im a bit confused as to how to go about this ?
The bios is Phoenix - Award
    bios W6763IP2 V3.9
    Award bios V6.00PG
The computer is a packard bell desktop ixtreme mc8112

I appologise in advance if I have put this request into the wrong thread but greatly would appreciate any pointers in the right direction.

    1. Is it possible to use this tool on this bios ?
    2. I seem unable to get the original bios from the packard bell support website for download anymore so is it possible to retrieve it back off my pc some how ?
    3. Is there a newbie ish tutorial anywhere to help me ?

once again I thank you for any support I realise modding bios is not for the faint hearted but this is just a old PC I just wish to experiment with.
    regards:confused:

    Quick question:
PhonixTool v.1.81+ has a feature built in for changing DSDT Table on ASrock boards.

Will this ACPI tables change to Asus? So, ASrock boards begin read as Asus manufacture and thus match Asus certificate on 'proper validation checks' ? Or what dose the DSDT OEM/Table ID change do?

    Can anyone enlight me? :aglerks:

Unzipping it does not give me flashabl.rom just the executive program that flashes the BIOS. That program is not unzippable (I use winrar for my zipping program) I do not seem to be able to find the temporary directory that has the actual rom file yet. So is there away to extract the rom from the executive file. The command line switch -writeromfile did not work. Thanks.

Use 7-zip to decompress the 1537_A11.exe file.

Well I see my problem, I had an older version of 7zip on my computer and it did not extract anything useful from the file. Tried winrar and it could not do anything with it either.
Upgraded my 7zip and lo and behold.... flashabl.rom appeared. Thanks.

DSDT table modification is only for addinv nVidia SLI strings, or altering bits to get OSX to work etc. NOT needed for normal SLIC mods.
