I'm just curious, I haven't gotten really any responses since I've been on the forum. I think I've been following instructions on how to post in the requests and generally nice. Have I said something wrong or been pariahed on MDL? (not this thread specifically just in general) . Not even a "you posted on wrong forum bonehead" post some other people get.

I'm certainly not ignoring u mate, i'm just spending all the (little) time I have actually working on the tool.
All i've done is wrapped zuiveltext's tool into the process. Once the EFI is decrpyted it is processed in the normal way.
    Don't use module method.
Could u post the bios and an RW report
Have u flashed any modded BIOSes??
What do u mean by 'sig check'??

    Hi osmoTR,

CPU microcode is not compressed in Phoenix/Dell/Insyde BIOS. I checked Phoenix Tiano (EFI) BIOS, CPU microcode also not compressed. So, the CPU microcode not compressed is not part of the problem you're experiencing. I just want let you know.

Nm Andy but your tool worked better than I could have imagined! I just used dynamic, no slic, don't alter acpi, allow modify other modules, maintain module size and altered my one module. I just found and posted a patched version of the 4.0.9.0 insydeflash.exe and it flashed it like a champ thanks so much! Again sorry to bug you with my trivial stuff but your work is awe inspiring...:worthy:

andy seems to be working fine -tried multi slp ie ASUS_FLASHHewlett-Packard -but log only shows ASUS_FLASH being inserted but twice see below but both are inserted ok-might be a mute point but I thought I would advise you any way

Parsing module A062CF1F-8473-4AA3-8793-600BC4FFE9A8_1_132.ROM for SLP 1.0
SLP 1.0 string ASUS_FLASH inserted in module A062CF1F-8473-4AA3-8793-600BC4FFE9A8_1_132.ROM
SLP 1.0 string ASUS_FLASH inserted in module A062CF1F-8473-4AA3-8793-600BC4FFE9A8_1_132.ROM

thanks again for your intensive time and effort for producing a superb tool!

    andyp, I just noticed something:
hewprsa needs "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package" [aka vcrun2008] in order
to run. I didn't noticed it earlier since it gets installed by most applications anyway...

[Note: If vcrun2008 is not installed, the tool will fail with a generic "0xcxyz" error, which is
not very helpful and might confuse people]
