i just downloaded the iso from the description again i extracted it and soo ther is no drivers folder only driverpacks folder if you are referring to it i already tried pasting them as .7z file it didnt work i dont know why maybe wrong drivers for usb 3.0 but i dont know where to find the correct ones because my chipset is z690
Hi George. you may disable signature verifier adding those lines, in hivesft.inf: HKLM,"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup","MinimizeFootprint",REG_DWORD,1 HKLM,"Software\Microsoft\EmbeddedNT\Security","DisableSCE",REG_DWORD,1
I saw you pointed in different topic, they have nothing to do with suppressing signature prompt on usingned drivers. Specially first have nothing to do with that, see its name and Google for what is used for. And second one have effect only in Embedded, Thats probably why it doesn’t have effect in my test. Im not looking for system settings - Thats already configured correctly. Only way is properly reproduce syssetup.dll patch for x86 from existing x64 one. For now, I think I will find INF signing cause in future as I have few drivers signed correctly…
hi George. i have verified, both strings are in setupapi.dll x64, think is used fot that purpose. another way is to not register initpki.dll, because initpki.dll, in turn, will register CSP infrastructure ("wintrust.dll", "mssign32.dll","xenroll.dll", "crypt32.dll", "cryptnet.dll", "cryptui.dll", "cryptext.dll")
I presume these strings are in both Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 (side node : it could be interesting to explore the concept of a Windows Server 2003 Embedded). For research purpose only, I really like your idea to disable CSP infrastructure. It could become a great optional parameter during install. What are the other research topics where a disabled CSP infrastructure could be useful ?
In XP2ESD we use 2 different patches. PAE patch by @daniel_k for Windows XP SP3+ and for Server 2003 SP2+ is used different one by evgen-b. Server 2003 patch ia needed only on some editions.
Hi guys i have a really big problem installing WinXp on my modern pc i912900k 3090 nvidia etc. i followed the tutorial that was written on the 1st page the script went created the virtual machine captured the image and everything and i got almost all the drivers from the repositories and still when i try to boot into installer either it cant detect the mass storage devices or the esd.I checked thousand times recreated the iso hundred times and still cant do it i dont know why At first thought i was doing something wrong so i tested the iso on a virtual machine on VMWare worstation it installed like a charm and works without problems but when i burn the iso on a usb device with rufus 4.3 and boot with the usb drive it displays the error that cant detect the mass storage devices and the esd which is clearly not the case please someone help.I thought that this XP can be installed on any modern hardware configuration i dont know what is the problem but i will be really grateful if someone lands me a helping hand
