Forums work in a simple way - if someone has an answer to your question and is willing to post, they will. Bothering people just because you think they can answer isn't the way to get answers. Same as above. Sounds like completely your choice to make. Resorting to childish questions instead of understanding basic concepts of forum communication. It's not up to me to agree or no, I just voiced what multiple people think.
I don't know what exactly your problem is, but I feel sorry for you, Sir Can we back to topic please? My questions were simply about support. I asked friendly and with respect as I would expect from other member here, too.
I managed to boot but it says no wims/esds were found despite them being there, albeit as a wim and an esd and not 2 of the same. Also my keyboard and trackpad doesn't work and since I'm on a laptop I can't plug in any PS/2 devices
never stop asking questions as long as they are not repetitive and keep sharing your findings for further exploration
I see from the screenshots that the XP2ESD installer comes with a "DP_Ported_GenericHDA_5231.7z", however, this file seems to be missing from the current 1.6.1 version, with no other folder or archive including any kind of generic HD audio driver. Is there any place i can get it? who is the original author of this driver and where can i find more about it? I tried using the search feature of this forum but with no luck.
Nevermind, i found a copy inside a mediafire folder at #2593. installed it into my system and finally got HDA working on it for the first time with xp!
Why when it does the "Installing to virtualbox" Virtual box is very slow. i tried to install windows xp normally in virtual box and it was rather fast (around 5-15 mins). but when its installing windows xp with xp2esd builder it doesnt even finish. the text mode setup (the first initial part of windows installation) its very slow (around 30 mins to copy all things) then the second part of the installation never does anything. it just gets stuck. the hdd light occasionally but it doesnt do anything i even left it for 1 and a half hours but it never did anything
I'm sorry but have to ask, i have follow the guide and download the driver pack and ISO, but when run the "XP2ESD_Builder" which ver.1.6.2 but it come with the error below, am i missing something? 4.38 GB, why do i have to download all that, i already have the captured wim of xp, i only need the patched files of windows 7 boot files, can you provide the link for that only ?? i have iso's of windows 7 and 10, even of 8.1 and vista if needed
I think VMware method also needs. Because Windows 11 24H2 refuses to start virtual machines of virtualbox with headless mode.
