These are Multilanguage User Interface (MUI) Packs, what about Language Interface (LIP) Packs support?
Was the project abolished? @George King .If it can't be finished, could you release the ported drivers in xp2esd 1.7 beta.
Yea, it takes too long - nothing and nothing new There will always be something that can be improved and changed. I constantly improve my WinXP 32/64-bit projects and share the current versions Maybe they are not perfect because they do not assume absolutely all scenarios (many disks, many partitions) but sufficient for the most likely ones. You can always disconnect other disks physically or disable in the bios at installation time.
A few months ???? - you probably are kidding - by that time people can change the hobby. XP2ESD is very complicated and requires a lot of tools and time to build ISO and ultimately we will use probably only one version of WinXP from this ISO. I want to use WinXP on modern hardware today and not wait a few months or years for a ready installer !!!
Yes, situation becomes complicated for Web browsers on XP, more and more sites won't work with alternate browsers. In six monts or a year, i presume 90 % of them.
Lol, u should calm down a bit dude. Because u want it done now doesnt mean George is gonna finish this project specially for u. Ppl have lifes & other stuff to do and not to satisfy impatient ppl like u. Learn some respect next time
Sadly this the reality with old eol os'ses like xp etc. I assume this would be a never ending battle to get the web working when something changes in the webhosting end what breaks it everytime and devs of those alternate webbrowsers have to fix it every time. But theres still hope because someone made one core api and ur able to run midern software etc with it. Ofcourse its not issue free but yea, im hopefull this is pretty much the way to bypass the old & unsupported browsers
@mickey66092 I do not want George to finish the project - I think he should release subsequent minor versions more often, e.g. 1.6.3, 1.6.4 etc.
Yea, if the changes arent ready yet how are u expected to publish it in small versions? U cant just release stuff builds with alot of issues in it. Im fine with how George does it, ironing out most big issues and bugs and makes sure it works before releasing it. How devs did it back in days, and not how nowadays devs doing it releasing half broken stuff on day 1 and then later fixing all the mess. Games nowadays is a good example. 2nd, u shouldnt demand things. U can always ask for stuff or ask question or suggest things or report not working things. That is always welcome. But but demanding and pressure devs is a no go.
like all amateur projects it starts well but then you want to exaggerate and it all ends up dying. the project was nice as long as the system maintained its originality, then they started adding a lot of crap that leads to nothing!
@George King Hello again after a while! How is the XP2ESD project going so far? I wonder what's there left to fix.
