I'm using custom firmware for my phone and router. Developer makes possible that EoL products still get updates and so on. Nobody pays them. Both having donation links where I spend a lot, like for actual official manufactory product. They never.. absolute never wrote any like "I lost interest." and something come across like private life, we get informed every time. If there is a problem, they inform users as well. There tests versions out. And nothing like "Okay stuff is finished, but heey lets re-invent the wheel again for any unnecessary stuff." Never. Additionally, that several users here offered help for testing, adding code, and so on. I honestly feel very sorry for @UsefulAGKHelper as he spent effort and believed in this project a lot, and just got left alone now.

So. No. It has absolute nothing to do with payment. Most coder doing stuff for free and not let user abandoned suddenly quickly before actual 99% done release.
There are others projects on this forum, continuedly updated, no big deal, the people do beside of their actual job, and even support and help every single issue users reporting.
And that is it all about, people do it for community, as hobby, to show middle finger to companies and in spirit of foss and working together as team.
And not to earn whatever some thinking to earn, nor act like "hey you don't like it, so I don't do it anymore" this is childish, and nothing other.

This here. Like I said 2 years ago already, there will nothing come anymore (as he claimed "oh just a test need, then its ready to release"- and I was right. I never experienced in my life.
And THIS is a bad attitude from the project-leader. No gonna lie.

Not even give some post here to say "sorry project frozen now", and just put a simple sentence hidden in github issue threads, it's a no-go.
I've no respect for that. I'm sorry.

PS: If someone want to do stuff just for the money, so why not go in company, selling the services at its, and done? But doing for free means doing for free. so what?

    good for them

    BUT

when you get (& enjoy) something for free, the best (or worst) think you may say is: "thank you"

complaining & whining about stuff gets you nowhere

I used to do the above too (human nature) until I decided to become a contributor

that made me appreciate further free stuff rather than complaining about them

everything has a life-cycle & creators or contributors have every-right to loose interest (or take a good break) at some-point.

the good thing with open-source is that if the project is good & interesting, new contributors may appear & help continue the project

replacing whining with contributing (in any-way one can) takes (all involved parties) a step ahead

keyword: "thank you" (although it's Free, people have such a difficulty expressing it)

Tbh, I never expected anyone to remember my contributions THIS well, thanks for the acknowledgement at least! O_O

For everyone else who is still wondering, just so you know, I did talk to George King, specifying this:
    George King's response:
I understand why George takes breaks from XP2ESD, because I also took breaks too (from working on something else, it's also why I haven't been as active in the XP2ESD community as before), and let me tell you, it felt GOOD not having to work on my game progress inside that popular MMORPG game (it's a game called Metin2) every time!
In conclusion, everyone please be patient and understanding!
Thank you for reading, good luck! :)

It doesn't support UEFI boot yet but I'll add UEFI support for 2000/XP in future.

If you legacy/CSM booted, type 'tc' after 'No USB/CD disk found' error. It will scan again properly. I'll fix this issue in future.

Keep in mind project is still at Beta stage.

Ok. Here one warning. Snappy Drivers installer is malware. His fork (Snappy Drivers installer Origin) is cleaning. I suggest use him (SDIO than SDI).

can you elaborate a bit ? some references perhaps ?

BTW, this comment does not belong in this thread. maybe you may want to create a new "Snappy Drivers installer" thread ?
