@example12345678912345678 Do you have working product key for Windows Server 2003 Web Volume License?
Does version 1.6 include language packs for Win7PE and Win10PE? Or we have to download them separately? Also can we do multilanguage with such things:
XP2ESD v1.6 can create MultiLanguage ISO For your example you can start with Windows 7 and 10 1507, all x86 and in tr-TR, then you can add WinPE LPs for integration - in your case de-DE + en-US. All needed files are colected and tested. We can now create ISO based on one language with all 24 different languages inside install.wim / install.esd. I will explain it in bigger detail as I need to write documentation.
When you find how to install Windows 7 x86 on your machine, then we can add this fix into WinPE as setup environment is Windows 7 PE with Windows 10 setup engine. Have you tried original MSDN Windows 7 on your machine with same result (stuck on bootlogo)?
@imadam__ As you posted on WinRaid you successfully developed XP from 8 in a past. You can try build XP2ESD again, but replace Windows 7 ISO with Windows 8.0 (if you are able to boot into installer). And also don't forget to use patched ACPI.sys. NOTE: you should encounter some errors during building according to bootlogo patching as it's compatible only with 7.
To-Do steps for XP2ESD v1.6 are mainly with UpdatePacks 1) Update .NET CABs for UpdatePacks - I will use installed XP with USP4 compared to XP with OnePiece Packs to catch latest files for .NET 2) Build 2003 UpdatePacks - I have tested building English and Czech and it seems good, some Updates are only in English as they are lost in time, There will be a list so maybe we can found them somehow in future. New pack will be v1.0.2 3) Fix XP UpdatePacks - almost done, waiting for .NET update, main INF need Strings section FIX same as 2003 New pack will be v1.1.0 4) Rebuild Embedded UpdatePacks, surprisingly one update was missing + I added latest ENU timezone fix. New pack will be v1.0.2 5) Review building modern installer with Windows 8 instead on Windows 7 + Windows 10 ISO 6) Optionally add option to convert Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Volume License into Windows XP Professional to provide native 4GB+ RAM support, but this will be time consuming, so maybe in will be added on v1.6.x 7) Optionally Review option to add Recovery Environment - original XP one or Windows 7 winre.wim this needs some testing
It's highly probably a driver issue. I had the same thing (freeze on boot screen) with Win10 once, because of the Broadcom WLAN card on a Samsung notebook. Win8.1 installed and ran just fine.
Impatiently awaiting v1.6 as I have a Precision M20 to reinstall and I can't be arsed to wait five hours to update Windows+Office again.
+1 for that and in the end it will be a one click solution and vupti a modern win xp installer Just wish thinking
Also, I don't think SKU convertion is not possible. Because when Windows tries to boot into GUI stage of setup, it always end up with 0xc000021a BSOD. I tried it many times but no success.
Windows Server 2003 build 2600 and Windows XP build 3790 by converting between SKUs. An user named LucasB tried to help me by patching setupapi.dll file, but it still doesn't work due to BSOD.
Why you don't use xpconv.exe to convert Server 2003 into Client. This require patched winlogon.exe by WPA_kill.exe
