it seems that my 10th generation laptop refuse to run xp No matter what I want to install it on external SSD with SATA adapter But Without too much success .. yet ... If it can work with win 7 / 11 I believe it will work with XP too
@Dark Dinosaur Which exakt name is your laptop? As long as it has CSM support, XP SP3 install is possible Dietmar
@George King, I tried integrating both of your Updated "OnePiece UpdatePacks" to a clean WinXP Pro x86 ISO using nLite, but there appears to be an issue with the "Embedded Post-SP3" pack which results in a blank desktop after OOBE. I realize most are using these update packs with the XP2ESD project, but I didn't see any mention that the UpdatePacks weren't meant to work by themselves, so just wondering what the issue might be? Here is what I've tried so far... Can you upload LOG inside your Disk VM? File name setupapi.log Have you installed the latest version of oracle vm virtualbox?
It's an old IE bug that we've known for a long time, and George knows it and we'll try to fix it. The creators of the old UpdatePacks haven't fixed it in a long time. .NET, it crashes the Japanese and Korean versions as well. blue screen UpdatePacks will be fixed soon. We have finished updating the x64 version, leaving only WMP 11 of x64.
Just some tweaks applied using nLite. I don't have any issues when I use the "Post-SP3 UpdatePack". It's only when I use the "Embedded Post-SP3" pack that I have these issues.
Just do clean session with only UpdatePacks, nothing more. Thats how it's done in XP2ESD with known success. Hello, i finally managed to install XP on my pc but the problem is, it's just booting in AUDIT Mode and the setup canceled right after showing.. I have just the wallpaper and no drivers
He also told me that he saw the oxc0000005 error during setup and also that can't see xp2esd launcher. I saw that 5 steps were visible into setup.
Well then he doesn't used supported Windows ISO mentioned in first post. I need logs as usual.. P.S. It's never quaranted that XP will work on every machine
He said before that on legacy mode he managed to get XP to boot, but it's stuck in AUDIT mode. He figured it out because I have given him the advice to load the registry hives to identify setup progress to compare the registry changes BEFORE booting XP and AFTER booting XP.
