I do not understand what you mean? I have to use windows 7 + windows 10? Or what do I have to do? the link you sent me takes me to OP #1812
1) I'm on vacation out of my country and out of my PC, that mean that post 2) Missing MassStorage / USB drivers in boot.wim
I understand what you said about the holidays... although... do you at least have an idea of why the error occurred? I followed everything to the letter and the built boot left the WinPEDrivers option activated so I don't know why that is... do you suggest I use windows 7 + 10? since I don't use the WINXISO option... What do you think?
First of all: I´m able to install "WinXP_AIO_ESD.iso" in VirtualBox. Everything works flawless and silent, after the needed reboots XP is booting and running. But: I`d like to install into "Hyper-V" and now i`m stuck. Everything works fine until "Snappy Driver" is called. There`s an exception for 5-8 times: When i click "Weiter" (which means "go on") the exception disappears, comes again, then disappears completly. "Snappy Driver" seems to start but doesn`t execute anything, just closes.
now with respect to USB driver I'm a bit lost, since well the PC that I tested is with ATA disk so I don't know why... since the PC is configured in BIOS and not in UEFI... I don't know what it could be but well I'll see if I can integrate it...
I've gone thru this guide, built the ISO and installed inside virtualbox to test. Everything seems to work, it boots and installs, then it reboots and i get a blank desktop with no taskbar and a mouse cursor. The machine is running, if i send ctrl-alt-del i get task manager and i can launch file explorer. But the OS doesnt otherwise boot normally. The only errors i had during the process were part of the nLite script right at the start, which complained about a few "ie.tweak" things missing Any pointers folks? Cheers
Thanks both i think i've figured it out. I had initially extracted the Onepiece update into the updates folder rather than just copying in the 7z. NLite complained, but continued and it built what appeared to be a functional install.wim. however the next stage failed at [8] updating install.wim, integrating drivers... When i realised the error, I swapped the extracted folder for the 7z and reran it, but it re-used the install.wim from the first attempt and only re-ran the second part. Currently rebuilding from the start. No nLite errors this time, will see how it goes once it finishes the build.
hmm, no luck, same thing. installer runs okay. reboots, i get a screen saying "Loading your personal settings..." then the blank screen with desktop background and mouse cursor. Snappy driver installer doesnt open.
yeah thats what i did the second time. It re-ran the whole process and nlite clearly did more work, and the resulting file was larger, so it certainly worked better. However the issue remains. I also swapped out the iso for the VL version to see if that would make any difference, but the same thing. I'm currently trying again with the optional "embedded" update pack added as well as the normal one.
Hello, have you put in the correct folder? I'm sorry that I depended on your help. I'm testing a translated game with a small group of developers
@George King Integrate Driver MassStorage and USB extracted from DriverPacks, each folder with its corresponding architecture x86, x64 when creating the iso and testing it in Virtualbox Machine and VMWare sent BSOD 0x000007F Anyway I kept using Windows 7 x86 + Windows 8.1 x86... try windows 7 x86 + windows 10 21h2 x86? the PC I use uses ATA disks and in Windows 7 installations it works without problems even in windows 10 21h2...
I understand... although in the end it only happens to me on a PC with USB 2.0 and ATA Disk but on a MiniLaptop with USB 2.0 and SATA Disk I can install it without problems... I don't know why but I'll try later to combine Windows 7 x86 + Windows 10 21h2 x86... see if this solves the problem...
