I did it but failed on step 9 , step 8 is finished very quickly not sure what happened execute KB5099444_InstallModViaDISM.cmd as administrator just a flash and failed
Hi, InstallModViaDISM contains some safeguards to ensure the previous steps have been successfully completed. You should refer to the guide with screenshots for 2025-11: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1897571 The KB IDs are different versus this particular written guide, but the logical steps are still similar. I never tested Embedded editions. Only Windows 8.1 Pro and Enterprise, installed from the original Microsoft ISOs, then updated with an update pack online (takes about a day's work), and finally installing the patched latest cumulative update. Maybe I will try on Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro with patched 2026-08 LCU, I hope it will go well.
Nb we have windows 8.0 home with registry hack forced as windows 8.0 embedded standard and after used server 2012 update up to march 2025 + latest update from 2012 ( only for net frameworks 4.8 and internet explorer + registry trick to enable tls 1.2 for legacy net framework Why ? Because windows 8.0 have low requirement for cpu than windows 8.1
actually I patch it on May but not on June & July , after failed on Aug I restored the system and forgot patch it . should I patch it after update SSU everytime ? BTW , am your fans and thanks again for the instruction
