I have no problem with private networking but TOR is also used by people that have something to hide for an reason and I'm not pointing fingers for that just saying there is an degree of abuse on TOR :tea:

Here in my country it is known te be used for sharing pron that may not see the daylight for example !

So what happens when they start hacking businesses and companies that connect to different regions of their same business using VPN?

My last job in IT repair, had VPNs connecting us (tech support) to all the other offices around the region, so we could remotely connect and repair their machines from our place, instead of having to physically go there

If tor is hackable, why do we even need to use tor in the first place.

We use tor because it can guaranteed our privacy. If its hackable, it means we need to use other more secure technology...

I expect that they will know the difference between corporate servers and commercial/private nodes. I doubt that they have the resources to actually harass 1% of the people that are using VPN or Tor. That being said, the potential for abuse is huge.

The FBI should have to apply for warrants each and every time IMO

This ruling will likely be overturned anyway, far too much power for one organisation to have with no-one to answer to

Sadly the supreme court is the top of the heap and the Republican controlled Congress only has to ignore it for it to take effect.

Not think if there is enough of an outcry from the public, they'll have to reverse it?

Was talking about things like this and the iPhone the other day, and basically for the few % population that are terrorists etc, the entire world has lost their privacy

Just one big smoke-screen to spy on anyone they like

tbh, it should be them (FBI/Government) under surveillance

    FISA changes that.

    Read here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_Intelligence_Surveillance_Act

Especially the part about Electronic Surveillance.

Hopefully, but not likely. I have yet to see a single unfair law repealed, either in New York or in the USA.

They will just give a s**t about any outcry of the public, it's just the American way of life, to show off that they are better! They are?

And that the entire world has lost it's privacy, is an very long time existing fact!

Looks like another thread is going down the Bash The USA road. I'm from LoUiSiAna so I really don't care much for Murrica to start with, BUT, just "What The Hell" as asked above, does this have to do with Windows 10

Has anyone thought this is a bluff to scare us off using VPN/TOR?

Unfortunately yes. But it's a good thing to put a huge fence in between. No one, neither stupid Mexicans nor Latin Americans have the right to enter illegal to the States just to bring their miseries over there.

Last time I checked, people were born on Earth, who gives them the right to restrict anyone? Especially when a lot of these countries were built on robbing other countries.

Try sneaking into other countries and living there, tax free. You'll soon realize that the world is -not- free, and that the USA is probably the most lenient of countries, with regard to illegal entry.

Do you mean like England... Our big sister. :D

Anybody is invited to live legally in America. Bring your culture (just the positive aspects please...We have enough home-grown loonies thankyouverrymuch)

And bring your recipes, Because a good meal is magical. :)

Oh, and a side note about Mexicans: In just about -every- successful restaurant in which I've eaten, there's a Mexican cooking in the kitchen. ;)
