    I know the Qosmio G30 has Toshiba BIOS, not too sure about G40.

    I have a Toshiba Tecra M10 with BIOS version 1.90 installed Model PTMB3E.

    The BIOS has SLIC 2.0 tables (Used SLIC Dump to confirm this) but am I correct in thinking I need 2.1 to "hacktivate" Windows 7 Ultimate? :)

    If you need any dumps just let me know.

    The BIOS installer uses a .com file also (BIO0066T.COM)

    Toshiba just released BIOS v3.0 with SLIC 2.1 for the Tecra M10 model.

    Any news on extracting the BIOS data from the COM file?

    Can anyone make screenshots of what happen when you run the COM file?

    I tried loading them into IDA disassembler to look at it.

    I am not sure COMs are executables, probably they are just binary/custom rom format, bios upgrade performed by this command:

    chgbiosa.exe bio00***.com

    may be after loading rom will be "unpacked" or "converted" to some memory section of chgbiosa.exe (I didn't know how it works)

    LOL. *.com is probably a DOS program and you run it from DOS to extract the BIOS.
