I also have Kaspersky 2010 and it came out clean. I used the norton crack, and it seems fine. Doesn't connect to the internet, etc. (comodo and kaspersky firewall). Cheers
Good news everyone! As Professor Farnsworth would say....Good news everyone! Your tip about running it under Safe Mode worked. I started with a CLEAN VMWARE machine. Just Windows 7 64 bit. I booted into safe mode, installed NIS 2010, did not reboot. I then installed NTR 1.5, chose 362 days and manual reset then clicked EXIT. All ran fine and no error messages. I rebooted. Everything has been fine for 3 hours and numerous reboots. Updated fine, scanned fine, etc. Funny that it does not see 1.5 as a threat yet...lol It found all my "test" viruses and ran scans as scheduled, so I assume all is functional at this point. I did install NTR under Safe Mode but had not tried installing NIS under safe mode first and that is what made the difference for a VM setup. Before, I installed NIS 2010 in Windows 7 as normally done...not under safe mode. So, just wanted to give feedback here. If it will work under a Windows 7 64bit VMWARE machine...I cannot imagine it will not work under other circumstances....lol
but I would recommend you to password protect it so that norton in future would not see it.....if at all norton blacklists its by knowing that you posses that reset and nothing else other than that. And guys good to know that its working for most of them
Oh, already did that. Plus I have copies stored in a folder on my NAS RAID device called SAFE. The SAFE folder is excluded from scans, autoprotect, etc.
After using trial reset 1.7 ,after one day Norton expired, then after few minutes it was back to 30 days .....tried reinstalling several times...still the same problem, is any one facing the same problem????
yeah with 1.4 be, i has uninstall reseter, nav 2010, clean registry, re install without reseter and it's show 354 days remaining... since one week !? plenty of mystery
