"Non-techie" users will be scared by such pointless wall of text, that make over-complicate and terrifying a process that requires literally less than 10 minutes, zero USB pendrives and other futile procedures.

Non techie users need to know the best way to accomplish a task, if they want to become experts they can do experimenting and making errors, not being spooned by a redundant and verbose tutorial.
If you don't have internet and you do an in place upgrade, all missing drivers are retained

If you don't have internet and you do a fresh install all drivers are collected in a single place (the driverstore of Win10) so, there is no point either.

I should have made it clearer. I upgraded from windows7 then 10 and used the iso .wim switcheroo on the 10 and 11 Isos. It upgraded to 11 but it went slow as a one legged elephant!. Clean install is the way to go on older systems.

    It's really an driver issue.
I always use ancient PCs... LGA775s, socket p laptops... and Windows 11 works just fine.
My main pc is an custom PC with a Asrcok G41C-GS R2.0 with C2Q Q9550 and 8gb ddr3-1333 @ 1000Mhz, AMD Radeon HD 4650... 120Gb SSD and HDDs for data.
This rebuilt laptop... Acer Aspire 5930G also works ok. P8800 as cpu, 4GB of RAM, 120GB SSD, 9600M Geforce.

I recon Windows 10's runs faster... but living wildly is better...

Win 10 runs faster. means nothing if you dont mention the builds involved.

Speaking of speed, actually the difference between recent 25xxx and older 22xxxx is grater than between 22000 and W10 1904x.

It's not the pointless label W10 or W11 that counts. It's the build. The world is changing and sticking with concepts that were valid until W8.1 is a big mistake.
