Hey timesurf, a few short questions (my apologies if they've been answered before, -did a few pages scan but didn't want to read the entire 25+ pages xD) 1) I can install IR5 while being in Win7 64bit - or do I need to reboot and get a command prompt before windows starts up and then install? It said somewhere that Windows was supposed to auto-reboot after installing IR5, which never happened for me. 2) I looked in my control panel>system & security >system > basic information about your computer > activation section The day I installed IR5 it had 30 days, now it counted down to 29. Is this normal and is there anywhere to see that IR5 is properly installed/working correctly? 3) I am also using the IR5 for both PS CS5 and Office 2010, it should be fine yeah? No special conditions or things to do? 4) I noticed you suggested to install SP1 and then IR5 - is it possible to install SP1 after I installed IR5 - or should I de-install IR5 > install SP1 > re-install IR5? Thanks in advance again~
lol... 1. It should boot into RE just like instructions say. You cannot reset rearms from inside windows 2. Trial uses 30 day periods til they run out 3. Ir5 is for win 7, IORRT is for 2010 and ACS5T is for CS5 4. As I have stated Are you running some type of boot mgt software? Cause there is something wrong if after IR5 install you do not boot into RE Basically IR5 creates a bat file and puts that in system drive then at RE you run that bat
The SP1 is already installed, after that I've installed the IR5 (wrong way though, so I have to uninstall and reinstall) and later the KB971033.
After it rebooted automatically, it loaded the recovery options and then I should have selected the command prompt. Instead, I rebooted again and Windows started normally. I didn't read the instructions, my bad. That's why I have to uninstall IR5 and then install it again in the correct way (command prompt and all).
Uhm, I'll try later to uninstall and install. Currently the status screen is exaclty the same (except for a few minutes less, of course).
Yeah. Just one last thing, now I have 5 rearms which are valid for about 6 months. What happens after I've finished the 5 rearms? I have to just reinstall IR5 again and get other 5 rearms? I have to reinstall it over the "old" installation or I have to uninstall the old one first? If in 6 months time a new version of IR5 comes out, do I have to do another procedure?
1) It never booted into RE for me. Would you suggest a uninstall-reinstall of IR5? And just to clarify; it's perfectly fine to install IR5 from inside windows - as long as it auto-reboots into RE afterwards? I am not using anything else. Win7 64 was downloaded from torrent with no description of any type of loader or add-ons. IR5 created the batch file for me, I can see it in my root file. Would it be enough for me to just manually reboot into RE and run the bat file from command prompt? Cheers~
Read the directions. What do they say ...lol Then go into RE manually by mad clicking f8 at boot then follow instructions as usual If it didn't boot into RE then only the anit-nag and task are installed It is not fine to just install IR5 from inside windows! It is a combination of installing it inside then go into RE Did you run Trilogy as admin? Yea so boot into RE and run C:IR5
LOL you're right. But by reinstalling, you mean just installing over or I have to first uninstall and then only install? And what if a new version of IR5 comes out? Sorry for being so noobish.
It's ok With IR5 you actually have to uninstall first before you reinstall. That is just one of the new features with IR5 It is probably final
