    sorry, just to clarify, if I installed IR5 with 25 days left for activation, it will auto rearm in 25-1 days, not 30days?
    thanks

    When IR5 is installed correctly it will give you 5 rearms 30 days or it didn't install correctly hence it resets rearms to full 180 days with sp1

    does this look right?

    Hi,

    I've just tried IR5 on a clean install of W7SP1x64. After installing, it rebooted, asked for my keyboard language, then displayed a windows recovery/repair options screen. Restarting without repairing brought me back to windows. The 'status' screen is as shown. Given what you've said above I take it the install hasn't worked?

    Good question! Well as we can see the task installed but the rearms did not reset. Odd's are anti-nag setting is also working. What I noticed is that you didn't say you entered C:IR5 <--- The magic ingrediant

    I suggest perhaps re-reading the instructions a little then try again and get back to us

    Thanks timesurfer, that fixed it. Turned out to be a warmware problem after all. Your hard work is appreciated.

    Ok I am finally getting around to testing 2.4 on WHS2011. I install, enter my language, enter password, click on command prompt. In command prompt is X:\windows\system32>

    I type in C:IR5 and get an error that reads

    'C:IR5' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

    Maybe this has something to do with my previous question on what selecting ALL FILES means. Got any suggestions on what to try next?

    I should mention I don't have Acronis or any other extra software like that installed. I do have 3 SATA hard drives as this is a server. 2 of which are on one motherboard chipset controller and the 3rd is on another since each controller can have 2 drives max.

    I can also confirm that the Dashboard does not crash after uninstall if IR5 which it did previously with version 2.1.

    Not sure if this will help or not, but I'll post anyway in case it gives any insight.

    I am having the same problem as tom.smith. IR5 installs, computer reboots, login, Dos prompt, type in c:ir5 and get a message that command is not recognized. when back in windows and going into trilogy it tells me that ir5 is already installed. grace period hasn't changed. the command prompt shows that ir5 has been installed correctly.

    I have nothing installed on this machine. pristine whs2011. guess a manual rearm will still work with ir5 running? Main OS running from SATA drive separate from DATA pool (2x2Tb plus 2x2Tb in Raid). Wonder why it can't find ir5 when it clearly shows it's installed? drive remapping upon boot?

    edit1: uninstalled IR5, disabled windows firewall and windows defender. reinstalled IR5, rebooted - same message: does not recognize command. I can't think of anything else system security related, that might prevent IR5 to install correctly.

    tom.smith4488, "all files selected" means that you don't save it as .txt, but it stays as .cmd while saving. This is not related to our problem. If you figure out what went wrong, please pm me. I will do the same.

    Redbug, let us know if you get it working...I too have a VHD I use to test applications before I install them in my regular Windows environment and am trying to get IR4/IR5/Trilogy to work for VHDs. I use the native boot functionality of Windows 7 VHDs but have not been able to get IR4/IR5/Trilogy to work expect the first time I tried.....can't recall how it worked the first time

    ok, does this mean that with IR5 installed but not responding in RE, will a rearm from trilogy (which reports ir5 is installed) still work?

    As soon as manual package is done you could try that

    Rearms will still work but with task installed it's auto if IR5 is installed

    So to sum up IR5

    1. Task ALWAYS installs ;)

    2. Anti-nag reg setting ALWAYS installs

    3. IR5 detects where to place IR5.bat and usually it is found by RE

    If not found IR5.bat can be moved around and or drive letter changed in RE like d:IR5, etc...

    but again manual package should eliminate these problems (Give me time I'm busy trying to have life/fun/work)

    Let's be patient and we'll get the MP/manual package to deal with IR5.bat placement/RE detection problems

    @tom.smith4488

    RE = Recovery Environment

    PE = Preinstallation environment (Your install disk)

    Hello timesurfer Trilogy I used and used up IR5 Seven SP1. I have not used for more 'than a month. Today I re-used to activate and said that there were no more 'days also went out and says "this copy is not genuine." I did "rearm" and now everything is OK. Really good tool.:D:tasty:
