If that's the case, then you might not have run it. If you look in the instructions, you will notice that, depending on your specific computer setup, you may need to type D:IR5 or E:IR5 etc. Basically, you need to enter the drive letter that corresponds to the Windows drive while your in RE. If YOU had to restart manually, then something went wrong.
The IR5 file definitely was not executed, so IR5 is not installed properly. Try again after finding the Windows drive letter while in RE. I believe that one of the screens while booting into RE will actually indicate the Windows drive letter. Just use the proper drive letter and then your computer should reboot and all should be OK. If you cannot determine the drive letter, you can try D:IR5, E:IR5, F:IR5 etc. One of them should work and then reboot your system (without you manually doing so).
Yes, and then I enter C:IR5 to run the file ..... and I get a an error saying ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value
Thanks I have no idea what that means other than he is sharing something he found which is obvious Sounds like a lot of trouble. Just install IR5 and your comp will probably be on dude. If not then just click rearm. Yes you can change the days to other than 30. I think your in trial not activated Why do you want to click "Activate Windows online now"? I thought you wanted to be in trial for several 90 day periods? Yes IR5.bat did not run if it did not restart auto It's called the recovery console I think and local disk is at top of recovery console Yea for some reason you had to enter key but here's where I'm lost because you did not comment on the Code: slmgr /dlv screen that pops up after IR5 installation? So run that cmd and show us you got 5 rearms again cause you might have just got rid the watermark I'm not certain it's fixed yet ...lol
Lol ... I'm pretty sure it's fixed. It's showing that I do have 5 rearms ... No watermark, and the trial has reset to 30 days. Everything seems to be working great.
