Trilogy and WSSE2008R2 I am having trouble getting IR5 to reset the # of rearms on my WSSE 2008 R2 system. I have re-installed IR5 let the system reboot into Recovery Options and opened the Command Prompt. It seems as though my windows installation is on X: which is odd because in windows it is C: . When I get into trilogy and try to run IR5 using a selection it tells me it is an invalid entry. I have tried to boot into safe mode with command prompt and running the install but it does not reset the # of rearms. I have tried to find a solution but I am lost at this point. I have 7 days left on my last ream please help. On a side note can anyone direct me to the Registry key that controls the # of rearms?
Glad I am still around...lol X drive is what RE says In the recovery console where you would select cmd prompt look at top where it it says local disk C:, etc... Otherwise read directions again till you understand them ussuming your OS is still supported Is there another name for your server? All we need is your default key which IR5 may already have then your good to go

Hi, I'm currently having problems getting 4.2 to work. I followed all the instructions, but when i get into RE and start up IR5 cmd shows ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value. ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value. ERROR: The parameter is incorrect. ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value. ERROR: The parameter is incorrect. ERROR: The parameter is incorrect. This is the only version that i have had any problems. any help would be appreciated
The instructions explain it perfectly For the keys version go to extratorrent.com and search Trilogy 4.2 Please do some effort and reading before asking what instructions tell you I am not getting paid for this assistance to you
I installed this, everything seemed to go ok, Trilogy claims I have plenty of time left but when I look at the system properties it says I have only a couple days left, when I used to have more than that before. While I want to believe what Trilogy is telling me, I have 1 day left starring me in the face elsewhere.
If you're expecting useful feedback, you may want to expand on what you are experiencing. Trilogy is made up of 3 different applications, so you may want to mention which one you are referring to. Also, what are you referring to when you say "I have only a couple days left" and then "I have 1 day left starring me in the face elsewhere". Where exactly are you seeing all of this? Also, what is Trilogy showing. You should include as much details as you can.
You're right, didn't realize how vague I was. It's the Windows 7 option which keeps windows forever in trial. Basically in Trilogy it says I have 28 days left but in the Windows System properties under where it says "Windows activation" it says I have 1 day left. I followed the steps exactly as described and it seemed to work, except Windows seems to have taken time off the days remaining instead of adding to it.
By any chance, does the "1 day left" message say something like "1 day remaining till automatic activation"? If so, all it means is that it will try to activate (and fail) and your "trial" will continue for the remaining 28 days. This has been found to happen with some installations and should not cause any issues.
Well here's something interesting, I started messing around with the date in windows, (clicking where the time is in the bottom right then changing the date as an administrator). And I was able to make the system properties list a 24 days left time period by setting the date to a few days from now. I'm so confused but hell I'll take it.
It is not recommended to go messing around with the date, as some people have had issues with Windows thinking something's up, and as a result, things can go terribly wrong. Hopefully, all is still OK with your install.
