Would IR5 (Trilogy 4.2) make the status in the properties of my desktop as "activated" though? Is this program a plug and forget type of patch that would run automatically every 30 days? KMS and Rearm are the same?
From the first post in this thread: * IR5 keeps you in trial and in trial you are always genuine Once you're out of rearms, just uninstall and reinstall and keep repeating. So, KMS and rearm are not the same.
So if I understand correctly, even though I install IR5 I still need to uninstall and install it in the future when I'm out of rearms? What is KMS then and how is it different from IR5? Would it better to run KMS since it isn't like rearm that "runs out"?
Probably answered already but i tried Trilogy 4.2 and now every time i reboot it goes into startup repair, it won't boot without holding F8 and choosing Start windows normally. Any ideas?
I have a question: I installed Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit) from an ISO image I burned to DVD. I believe that I forgot to un-check the activate online box when installing Windows 7. I did not enter a key number when I installed Windows 7, but I believe that I forgot to un-check the activate online box. My question is - will that mess anything up for me? I installed Trilogy 4.2 and the status says that I have 5 rearms. I'm just wondering if forgetting to un-check the activate online box will cause me any issues that I may have to fix (even having to reinstall Windows 7 again and this time un-checking that activate online box)? Thank you to anyone that can assist me with this question.
Once every six months it takes about 3-5 minutes to reinstall IR5 IR5 works with the trial aspects of W7 and servers. IR5 keeps you in grace period with no nags KMS works on a different channel for a limited # of OS's like Professional and Enterprise. It is basically the way corporations activate OS's and Office. KMS actually activates but KMS programs are prone to flagging AV false positives So to answer you they both last 6 months in between install or activations Your bcd got messed up and I forgot how to fix or repair this. Your problem is however very rare and still not known why this happens so it might not be fault of IR5 I dunno If your not having problems then I think you are ok
"If your not having problems then I think you are ok" Thank you Timesurfer. Can I ask - why is it recommended to un-check activate online when installing Windows 7? Does checking that option during install trigger some kind of Microsoft genuine check, or activation check? Thanks again for any info regarding that.
Ok. Now I understang how IR5 works. What I don't understand is KMS. Based on your previous answer, how were you able to say that KMS also needs installation every 6 months?
What are the best KMS activators anyway? So even if you use a KMS activator, Windows would just be "activated" for 6 monthd as well and then I need to reinstall the program similar to how IR5 works?
Thanks again Timesurfer. I was reading a few posts above, and it was said that we need to uninstall, and then re-install Trilogy 4.2 every 6 months. Just so I understand how to use Trilogy properly, can you tell me if I have this down correctly: Install Trilogy 4.2, then Trilogy will automatically rearm every 30 days on its own for the next 5 months (5 rearms). Then after 6 months from installation, we must BOTH uninstall Trilogy AND reinstall it. Then it will go through that cycle again of automatically rearming every 30 days for another 5 months, etc. Do I have it correct? And regarding IORRT for Office 2010, does IORRT infinitely keep rearming Office 2010 month after month after month.....? And, does one ever need to uninstall IORRT and then reinstall it (say like after 6 months), like we have to with IR5 for Windows 7? I appreciate your help with all of this, and thank you very much.
Do not use Trilogy with beta WOAT is fine and does both KMS and OEM/SLP activation as well as other things but Cody's toolkit is just more advanced at the moment dealing with the persistant error KMS users get otherwise if all is right they both do the same thing in the end Ok
What do you mean "do not use Trilogy with Beta" ? The "beta" I'm referring to is the Microsoft Toolkit of Cody.
It's OK. The BETA is because I've added Windows support and may throw in new features at will that will be tested. The Office EZ-Activator is solid, and the Windows one is based off it, but a lot simpler due to the lack of conversion from retail to VL in Windows. It's mostly extra features and the fact the app is a halfway point of turning OTK into a AIO all purpose solution.
