Didn't abbodi* already explain that those are not updates to be offline integrated a few days ago? They can't be integrated by dism, hence not mentioned. * And very offtopic in this thread.
Hello, I just installed Windows 10 22H2 Professional on an older laptop and then did all Windows updates. Then successfully used TSForge for the ESU updates and this time Windows update found KB5068781 which shows as being installed. However when I go into Windows Update I'm getting the message "You're not up to date" and below that in red is "Your device is missing important security and quality fixes". I'm hoping that is just a glitch of some sort and next months Patch Tuesday ESU updates should be fine? Regards, Paul
Apologies for the delayed response. Just went out for a burger lunch. After installing KB5068781 and restarting when I click on "check for updates" I get those messages.
Hi again, I didn't deliberately block any settings or services. What I did was: Clean install of Windows 10 Pro; Used MAS to activate via HWID; Checked for updates; Used 0&0 Shut up 10; Used MAS to activate ESU via TSForge; Checked for updates (got the KB5068781); Installed Office 365; Used MAS to activate Office via Ohook; Went to check for updates again and got the error message. Could I be using too many activators or perhaps Shut up 10 did something? As it is clean install perhaps easiest just to do it again. Regards, Paul
If you think O&O ShutUp 10 is your problem, simply export the settings Under Action, use "Undo all changes" Check for updates If all works fine, export the settings again and compare the 2 to see changes (Ex:WinMerge) You can put back each O&O ShutUp 10 settings 1 by 1 until you find the one causing the error.
Thanks everyone, I am going to do another clean install of Windows 10 (it is enjoyable to me) then do all the activation's and if Windows Update is working good I'll create an image of the drive before applying o&o shut up 10. That way if shut up 10 wrecks something it will be easy to go back. The person I'm doing this for wants shut up 10. I've never used it before myself.
@West_Swan Could you export and share this registry key? Code: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WaaSAssessment
Absolutely. I won't have access to the laptop for a day or two. Will get that information to you as soon as a I can. Thank you.
And like a few people it seems everything is now reporting correctly You're up to date. Thank you Update: The second Patch Tuesday for the ESU updates (KB5071546) was successfully installed today.
Thanks for your work! I had to do some legwork, so I am putting this here to make it easier for others. MAS+TSForge Extended Security Updates (ESU) activation for Windows 10: 1. Turn off Antivirus. 2. Get MAS script and extract it; all-in-one recommended. 3. Get TSForge and extract it to the same place you put the MAS AIO script. 4. Check properties of bin\LibTSforge.dll; you may need to tick the 'Unblock' box. If the DLL is not unblocked, you will get an error upon ESU activation attempt. 5. Run the MAS AIO script as admin. 6. If TSForge was found automatically, its name will be green. If TSForge is not green, check that the 'bin' directory is at the right place. 7. Select TSForge, then do the ESU activation for 3 years. 8. Exit, exit. 9. Turn Antivirus back on and reboot. 10. Use Windows Update normally.
