Please note that ESU is an addon license. It does not activate Windows itself, but enables ESU updates. For actual activation, [1] must also be used.
I'm not clear on this quote. I thought TSforge, while being presented as an activation script, is a bypass method for ESU binaries? So the community has actually come up with a (foolproof?) bypass method. Doesn't TSforge enable security updates on WU to be installed on Windows 10 non-LTSC (Pro, Enterprise, etc.) after October 2025 or is it not a bypass method for ESU binaries?
I'm still not understanding why would one use TSforge when HWID activation is permanent and still works without running it again after formatting and reinstalling Windows?
And is it also permanent? Meaning, me if activate a computer, then format in the future and go online, would it get auto activated as HWID where you only need to do it once provided the hardware didn't change?
It is not permanent to that extreme, because it does not contact any servers to activate. However, the activation is permanent until reinstall/feature upgrade. As you have noted, this is why it is mainly recommended for older Windows versions (where this kind of exploit doesnt exist) and otherwise unactivatable products like KMS host/ESU.
TSforge will allow ESU updates on Windows 10 non-LTSC (Pro, Enterprise, etc.) till 2028. After that, they are not supporting ESU for Windows 10 non-LTSC, although LTSC is supported till 2032. So you may think, we can just install LTSC updates on non-LTSC after 2028, but they will most likely restrict those updates installation to LTSC only.
If I have legit Pro or Education key (business not consumer), can I use TSforge to get updates after October? Or it will reactivate Windows with the different key to achieve it?
ESU is an Addon license, the new activation will be installed in addition to your already established main license. It will not replace it.
I need to ask. I have Laptop with Home edition key. But i want install Pro/Enterprise to use, what i should use version? Seems like HWID persists between Windows 10 / 11 feature upgrades.
If the installed edition is Home, you can use Change Edition and HWID to upgrade to Pro/Enterprise and activate.
Yes, but i want to do clean install - when i need only install Pro edition and use this program to do activation?
Yes, no need to install Home first. But, if your installation media contains Home, it will probably be auto-selected by Setup if you have a Home key in BIOS/UEFI.
@Windows_Addict Thank you very much for this great tool. Is it possible to make permanent activation option of Office products on Windows 7 for the next versions of TSforge Activation?
Office on Windows 7 uses its own activation and licensing system. It's simply a completely different thing from what MAS currently targets. Maybe it will be possible, eventually.
