It's the wrong switch, updatenow starts the immediate install of scheduled updates. If anything detectnow will force WU to check the server for new downloads rather than waiting 16-22 hours between checks.
People who get the update this way were probably going to get it anyways if they had clicked "check for updates" in Windows Update. Those of us who didn't get it this way were not supposed to.
This worked for me. I tried everything before and nothing was working, now just launched cmd with admin pasted it and checked for updates and its downloading
Does this mean we will actually be automatically updated to Windows 10 after issuing that command? Cheers. Edit: Won't install, complains about boot.wim not found...
Nothing for Windows 7 Enterprise or Windows 8.1 Enterprise we registered volume licence folks will have to wait awhile before anyone one running older windows versions of enterprise. Its now a waiting game for us folks with M$ Volume Activations and Linked Windows 10 Enterprise download links
