Same here. When using the downloaded module and setting execution policy unrestricted, and putting .ps1 behind the module name, it seems not to error out. But it goes again to the prompt and does not do anything at all. I didn't even get to the "great we'll get the upgrade started" screen. Any ideas? Cheers.
brilliant thanks for this, it kicked me out at first, but then checked again for updates and after a few seconds it came up with the upgrade and worked perfectly as im now using win 10 to reply to this thread.
Does this mean It has started to download? I entered the command and says it has been accepted and my wifi is being used?
Well just my 2 cents... This procedure (even with powershell) did not work. So this is how I got it going: Download the ESD file from the index referenced elsewhere on this forum. Converted it to ISO with the help of Abbodi1406 ESD to ISO utility, then mounted the ISO in Windows explorer. First I was afraid that setup would complain about the installation media being unavailable after a reboot, but not so. Upgraded straight away and now on Windows 10. Only hassle were some drivers (Nvidia) but in all it was quickly solved. Cheers.
I couldn't get my upgrade to start, so I tried deleting the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder, and running "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" now my upgrade is finally working. Hope this helps.
