I tested with the batch file with 7127 x86 french install and seems to be working at the begin in french ( instaling w7 in windows virtual machine for testing the complete install )... but i got also an error (8000001) ... the same message as you i think. My advice is that these 7127 language packs are not finalised and are not fully working for the install process , if install stay english , no bug ... The normal install of lp after normal english installation gives some glitches in some text ... i had no problem with both version of 7100 LP's and integration ... following the 2 tutorials from Shadow_shd May be also the version of tools of WAIK that is good for RC 7100 and not fully compatible with pre-RTM ... i must replace all tools for know ... i note that these 2 specific folders were missing with the installation tutorial ... i had no problem to integrate LP on the version 7127 made with the tutorial but full install stay in english and french screens become after last reboot ... any idea ?
Next time you should maybe credit the guy who has made the tutorial - that was me in this case... you even used my code and well... for all those who would like to integrate LPs into their setup, I am now creating a tool, called LanguagePack Integrator - you can easily integrate Languagepacks into your setup.
Are you saying that I did just copy and paste your tutorial ? No I didn't. I searched informations about LP integration on Google, and found 99% of what I needed on the Microsoft Technet website (explanations for the imagex.exe, dism.exe and intlcfg.exe), the other 1% on Winfuture.de. After that, I spent many hours of tests, formated my Acer notebook's hard drive so many times, until I finally made it. So I thought Mydigitallife forumers could be interested by my searches. Now, it's a big coincidence if you writed the exactly same tutorial as me, and believe me, I didn't copy yours. ++
anyway, you overtool my folder layout anyway just as said (sory to rape the thread for this) my LPI is going to be done in a few days - I am looking for some guys that speak Italian, French, and other languages that could help me translating it
I was at work ... not testing more let us help together it's more pleasant ! i like tutorials, batchs etc no disputes lol Has anyone a idea of these problems and the 2 folders that may be usefull or not ?...
I'm gonna try to install the 7127 patched with fr-FR right now, and will let you informed. ++ Edit : I've just installed the x64 build of 7127, patched with fr-FR, from a USB flash drive, selecting French at the beginning of setup, without *any* problem. Roylion15 and Xinxilas : I guess you should try again, from scratch. Ensure you have correct LP files, it should work ! ++
Glad you got working, though you actually can't just change the index you mount "blindly" since they have been changing between builds, though you should be able to reference it by name... so do: Code: dism.exe /mount-wim /wimfile:C:\test\images\install.wim /name:"Windows 7 ULTIMATE" /mountdir:mount ... instead of: Code: dism.exe /mount-wim /wimfile:C:\test\images\install.wim /index:1 /mountdir:mount Never hurts to check what the index/name is first... so you should run a: Code: dism.exe /get-wiminfo /wimfile:C:\test\images\myimage.wim ... and look for the one you want (I hazard a guess Microsoft will "fix" the x86 one and move Starter edition back to index 5, like it was for Vista... so Ultimate become 4 again For those that remember the PDC build, 6801... Ultimate was on index 6 as there were the N versions too! ). As for Virtual PC not allowing a 64bit guest... all is not lost, I'll post a new topic on how to test out you customised builds without using VPC and no need to partition your HDD.
I got a problem when i commit change. Indeed, it just freeze when unmounting the image and commit changes. I'm on 7100 x64 and trying to integrate LP 7127 to 7127 x64. Moreover, i thing it is going from TrustedInstaller because i cant delete WIM folder. I must change Owner to all sub and also expand authorizations. Then, i can delete.
Commiting the .wim after a language pack install takes a very long time, with a lot of disk trashing/access. Installing one language pack takes about 15 mins and the commit will be about ~30mins. When I integrate all the languages into a .wim, the package-adding and commit takes about 9 hours(!!!) in total. Be patient.
For Windows 7 x86 this is Thur 5 this is Ultimate but for Windows 7x64 no 4 is real Ultimate Next step: - Open a command prompt as administrator, and CD to "F:\7Work". - Type the following : Quote: xcopy DVD\sources\lang.ini WIM\sources\ /cheryki watch WIM - Type : Quote: mkdir WIM\sources\fr-FR Replace "fr-FR" with your language code. - Then type : Quote: copy LP\setup\sources\fr-FR\*.* WIM\sources\fr-FR /cheryki right dir: DVD\sources\fr-FR /cheryki- no good Again, replacing all "fr-FR" occurences with your language code. - Now type : Quote: xcopy LP\sources\license\*.* WIM\sources\license /cheryki right dir: DVD\sources\license /cheryki no good to you muting boot.wim to WIM directory and there will be copy and replacement next you unmount boot.wim from WIM directory to DVD\sources. All is good and working perfect. And next one i do mount install.wim and integrate for example 20 language (do not unmount after all 20 language will unmount) In some time open boot.wim and integrate there 20 language to ,wil finish umount too this is finish do bootable image ISO try in VM and all is ready for uploading.
