Well my 500GB drive is FULLY backed up to two 250GB drives. Safe, DO NOT FORMAT stickers on...;)

My 1TB drive is, say half way through recovering my files. On this drive it is mainly all the different OS files I have, from XP to Win 10 and MAC OS X.
This is going well, couple more hours work I recon but that is not bothering me at all.

Then I will do a fresh install of Windows, give the three drives a format using DISKPART and put my files back as they were.

Unsure of which OS to plump for though. I was on 7 and messed about with 10 but I think I may jump onto Win 10 and see how it goes.

Well all my files are back on to the storage drives. I am just about to do a fresh install and get up and running properly.

This has been a right pain in the asre and I don't whish for it to happen again.

Thanks to all who helped me out with this...:drinks2:

Glad you worked out and got your files back, BUT if it happened already, no matter it was once, it could happen again. Don't be too confident on your wishes and design a better backup strategy, even if it involves purchasing new hardware.

Just use Drivepool, the best solution ever to have the important data duped on one or more disks (even remote disks using clouddrive), w/o having to duplicate all the non important data, and w/o any fear to have the disk unreadable on a different machine.
