You mean 'Hybrid' ? lmao A hermaphrodite is an organism that has reproductive organs normally associated with both male and female sexes.
It's only one portion/module of Ubuntu that will be planted into Windows, for the sake of making Linux programming easier. It's very different from Ubuntu on Windows 10. But anyhow, it's a progress.
It sounds nice but hope that it can be a lot better than what has been obtained by Wine/CrossOver for Linux and Mac OS X.
very interesting indeed.. ah.. to have cmd.exe in linux..and decent drive letters too.. still, it worries me too a little, if m$ jumps on the linux bandwagon. as for ubuntu, i do not trust canonical any further than i can throw m$. so i will stick to mint for now.
What happened to PowerShell, the glorified M$ CLI? Damn M$, they're so sneaky clever: jump in bed with Linux, then develop some proprietary Linux blobs and then all of a sudden, Linux developers have to pay for M$ patents.
Wonder what MS' real intentions are with this - not like Windows users are big on CLI. I know MS have been looking for Linux developers for a long time - probably decided best to go straight to the source. Just another step towards getting Server market share? Hmmmm....
Agreed and I think copyright stuff will also arrive soon since it's against some rights to hold pack the source, or they need to release it until it arrives the mass, but we will see. But people should not get confused, as MS is not enabling all Linux applications (maybe also due copyright?) to run on top of Windows nor this is 'MS Linux' - so don't worry. So I guess we can chill, it's to close a little gab but not an fully replacement or designed to be.
Nah i'd rather use Ubuntu by itself. It's better than Windows anyway. Except for gaming. But otherwise.
right CK, well sometimes I think that the world of O.S. remain "big friends brothers $$$" if so only stay Unix O.S
