I was just wondering what is better on windows 8.1 the legacy boot method or the UEFI boot method ? Greetz Base
Neither method really makes any difference on a desktop system, but on an oem system where you often let the computer go to hibernate after a few mins of inactivity to save batteries, the UEFI saves a bit of time on the wakeup. There's not really any other performance differences. Win8.1 likes to force you to use secureboot if you install on UEFI boot though.
Is there an easy way to convert a legacy boot into an UEFI boot ? looked around on the internet a bit but way to complicated Greetz base
UEFI is the biggest gimmick since animated wallpaper in 8.1, lol.....for me no diff in booting times, shutdown, nothing, no benefit to me whatsoever. In fact on my Lenovo desktop bios was all the same, no matter what, I turned off all the newfound stuff, lol, went back to the "old" ways, couldn't be happier
