has anybody tried installing the windows genuine advantage from the microsoft site to see what it displays?

You're absolutely wrong. It works on both version OEM or Retail. You only need XRM-MS certificate relative to your SLIC 2.1 tables inside your bios and the OEM key, that's all.
Ok...newbie here. I have a ECS G31T-M modded motherboard for Vista activation. How do I get it modded for Windows 7 and how do I add SLIC 2.1 to my current modded bios? Anyone willing to help?

He ran slmgr -ato against ms servers. don't try to activate it online. this product key is just for offline actvation. it works flawleslly. it not should show the number of rearms left? I got 3, but nicely activated using the hp cert and 2.1 slic in my bios.
