yeah vist cert but i havent got it working yet and i just tried another cert and still same result am i missing something could somebody walk me threw this i thought it was fairly simple.
It works! Yes, it works. I tested in vmware. With DELL SLIC 2.1 modded bios, DELL SLP 2.0 certs and this key, my windows 7 ultimate (X86) is activated.
I use the retail windows 7 version, and it's activated. Are you sure you had SLIC 2.1 in bios? You may check it using everest.

Just read the threads over at pcbeta and doing this can be very risky. Some of the forum members have said they fried their motherboards by doing this incorrectly. Since MSDN gets their release August 6, wouldn't it be safer to wait for a retail key? I downloaded the RTM version not OEM; will this method work? Need advice from the pros...
The key worked like charm, W7 Ultimate is now activated. Current using Dell SLIC 2.1 and certificate.
