    hi there

i have to install some server with 2012r2
    therefore i have this plan

1.) inject the boot-time driver into the wim (as a precaution i´ve injected them in both images in the boot.wim)
2.) place the other driver on the usb stick so that windows should recognise them and add them automatically

point 1 is done and working. the raid- and the network controller are recognised and working.
but where to put the other driver?
i´ve tried it in \Media\sources\$OEM$\$1\pnp_driver\ but the devices arent recognised automatically. if i choose to update driver and point to this directory it works like a charm.

    what i´m doing wrong?

    thx

If your already integrating drivers into your boot.wim why not include them into your install.wim?

because its possible and probably that i have to update the drivers quite often.
then it would be easier to put them on a stick then to inject them in the install.wim

If you integrate your install.wim with current drivers (ie, lsi raid) then the drive will always be available. You can then just upgrade to the newer driver once in the OS.

    or

You could use dism to apply the install.wim & then dism to inject the drivers to the OS. Check out murphy78-DiskPart-and-Apply-Image-Script
