Undocumented INSYDE BIOS recovery method.-Use andy's tool to obtain possible names.

Hi all,
i have a problem with my Lenovo G710
the bios is bricked and i can´t install them new, becaus i haveb´t the right name of it.
I´ve downloaded from lenovo the G710X64_6M.fd but it still not work.
Can anyone help me please.

I'm trying to do the recovery on my Acer Aspire 4830T-6841 laptop.

I downloaded the bios version 1.12 from the Acer website. I extracted the FD file (P4LJ0x64.fd), but when I load it into Andy's tool, it tells me the file name should be P4LJ0x64.f?, which obviously it can't be.

In my platform.ini file, the Model= is blank. The PlatformName=AA and BB. Both AAHW.FD and BBHW.FD are not working. I read that there is a way to dump/extract the BIOS file in Andy's tool and then do a search for the correct file name, but I can't figure out how to do this. Please help! Thanks in advance!

 

I have that same model except mine is a -76V1 which just means it has an additional drive, like it a lot. Interested to hear what happened.

 

Any one know of any recovery procedures for failed bios on newer AIO Lenovo Efi Insyde?

Can you help me with the BIOS filename of Acer Aspire V5-123 ?

 

I'm trying to find the right filename for an Acer Aspire A717-72G. I don't have any problem with the BIOS but would like the boot block recovery stuff just in case. Also have two .fd files after upacking the bios exe package, not sure which one it should use.

Got a dead flashed lifebook E756. Downloaded Bios Update and extraced the ROM File and opened it with Andys Phoenix tool.
The tool does not tell me the file name of the recovery bios.
Can you help?

 

Is there any file name for Acer Aspire V15 Nitro (VN7-593G) ?

Hi.
I would like someone to help me. I have an HP Pavilion dv6-6b17ss and I am trying to update the Insyde BIOS to version F.02 in order to recognize the Broadcom BCM943225HMB wifi card. When I run the sp54846.exe file the error: boot block cannot support to downgrade. The system BIOS will not be updated.
How can I solve that?.

hey i can't see any bios files except insydeflash.exe and some other exe and dll but can't see anything of bios
