    Rename BIOS.fd to FZCrisis.bin and try the recovery process again.

    @Luigi342PC

    For future use if you need them:
    ELMV2130.ROM = ELMV2_8L.bin
    ELMV2131.ROM = ELMV2_6L.bin

    Thanks! I will do that incase I face that issue although I made so many files and don't know which one was the reason for the recovery. I had also used these filenames (found them by opening the ROM files with a hex editor), hopefully this goes out as some useful pointers incase if anyone has a same or similar issue with the same or similar model as mine.

    @LichHunter
    Try renaming abobios.bin to EH5AWX64.fd

    @purgaxo

    E8Crisis.bin

    You need to extract the BIOS binary out of the exe though. You can't just rename the installer.

    Hello.
    I wonder if anyone can give an advice about my Acer Swift 3 (model SF314-42-R7TJ, platform FH4FR LA-J731P).
    I tried to update bios, but after restart it does not boot: black screen + keyboard lights on + working fan (regular speed, quiet).
    What I already tried in order to recover (nothing worked so far): disconnecting main & cmos battery and wait, extracting abobios.bin, renaming it to dozens of names for Fn+Esc recovery (PhoenixTool did not give me the recovery filename), tried to stick USB to left and right slot, FAT16 and FAT32, lowercase, uppercase filename and combination of the two... It seems that Fn+Esc recovery mode is starting (fan at max speed even though the battery led is blue as usual) but it refuses to pick up the bios file. The most promising filename I can imagine is FH4FRX64.FD but it did not work either.
    So maybe someone can suggest another filename for me to make another try?
    Thanks.

    @Python_Max

    FH4FRX64.fd should be the correct name. Make sure your USB key is formatted FAT or FAT32.

    Thank you for your response. I tried both FAT and FAT32. I guess I will stop trying Fn+Esc and proceed to CH341A programmer as next step. And the last step would be replacing the bios chip itself.

    Hi may someone help me with my Lenovo Ideapad 110-15ACL BIOS Recovery filename? I tried everything even tried HxD and it didn't work either. Any advice would be appreciated & just to let you know, the stock default bios filename is BIOS.cap

    Thanks
